Re: Nostalgia
I just remembered being on the S Bahn that our fans nearly shook off the track! 4 Bayern fans on absolutely papping themselves.

Re: Nostalgia
I haver a nostalgic memory of a game I never even saw: Working in Liverpool, we drove all the way to Leeds after work through fog, had to park on an unfinished stretch of motorway and walk a fair old distance with a load of other fans...just in time to get locked out of Elland Road. Best we got was a commentary on the car radio drivin g home. I think we lost, but the memory is a bit vague on that one? Not the best nostalgia..

Re: Nostalgia
Sounds like the 2nd replay v Newcastle on 1976. Held at Elland Road. Read lots of stories about folk abandoning their cars on the m62. We lost 1-2

Could well have been that Harry, just can't remember. John Byrom springs to mind....?Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2017 12:05 pmSounds like the 2nd replay v Newcastle on 1976. Held at Elland Road. Read lots of stories about folk abandoning their cars on the m62. We lost 1-2

Re: Nostalgia
Was his era but Gary Jones scored our goal I think. Some of the older posters might know for sure - Bruce, BP?

Re: Nostalgia
I'm almost sure CAPS went to that one, but he's no longer around unfortunately. Another not particularly pleasant nostalgia from the same era was drawing 1-1 with Everton in a night Cup match ( pretty sure Byrom scored our goal) then being attacked by a mob of Scouse nutters (we had three kids with us and fans were hiding their scarves) at the Gladys Street area. Have to say the rodeo coppers saved our asses that night. They weren't gentle.....Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2017 12:48 pmWas his era but Gary Jones scored our goal I think. Found this on YT. Never seen it before. Also found the first game. Just a quick search, so haven't had time to look for the first replay.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2017 12:48 pmWas his era but Gary Jones scored our goal I think. Some of the older posters might know for sure - Bruce, BP?
