And neither, if you go back and read through the 'record', did I say Johnson isn't a cxnt. I made a specific statement saying he wasn't responsible for any length of sentence for which N Z-R is subjected to. Which, indeed he isn't. Kind of pisses on your 'signature' doesn't it. You obviously require drawings of some kind to enable you to extract the meaning contained within the sentences...Prufrock wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2017 10:36 pmThe dipstick I was aiming at was you saying it's nothing to do with Johnson. [Sentences in the latter instance being constructed of words, and not lengths of time behind bars, which was the meaning in the first mention of sentence (within the above sentences)]

Re: The Politics Thread
Today we are warned that No-deal Brexit adds €2bn a year to imported German cars.
Sorry, but that should cut no ice with us. If prices increase by that amount then market forces should dictate that we buy cheaper cars from other sources. In that scenario it isn't the British consumer who will suffer (although there will be less choice for the average cost-conscious Brit consumer), but the EU exporters. And quite a big hit too. Maybe they ought to reconsider the totally blinkered approach they are imposing on the way Brexit talks are going.

Market forces will definitely win if that becomes the case. Plenty of other car companies nicking their ideas and making some very good cars. When I'm away I get to effectively test drive whichever car Avis present me with, and some of the better cars I've driven are Korean. Re: The Politics Thread
Trash, tabloid-style, journalism in the Times today, where they accuse 'Russia' (Svetlana and friends) of interfering in our Brexit referendum.
Absolute bullshit, contradicted even by their own words and graphs. They try to make out Svetlana was a bot, but she's still tweeting and mostly on non-political subjects. Also the graph, and the content of the article once sifted of all the shit, states quite categorically that the vast majority (95%) of the tweets occurred After The Fxckin Vote had taken place. That was influencing us was it then? What next, Brits try to 'overthrow Mugabe' because we are commenting on the coup d'bollox after the event? (Mind you, I'd have executed the cxnt by now [Mugabe, that is]. And if I can express that having never visited Zimbabwe how can anybody state that 45,000 tweets from Russians commenting on Brexit isn't normal, rather than state-inspired interference?)

Re: The Politics Thread
My former Halls of Residence's name is next in the firing line. Roscoe & Gladstone.
Maybe it should be renamed. Maybe it shouldn't. I fall firmly within the latter category. But, if the renamers' have their way I'd suggest the Corbyn & Abbott & Costello Halls of Residence as a suitable title.
Furthermore, as the leader of the campaign stated "as former residents of the halls we were horrified to find out we had been living in a building named after such a figure for a whole year without even realising".
Thus:
Did you not know the name of the building you lived in for a whole year, or were you horrified to find out you'd been living in that building and not some other building, or did you not realise that Gladstone referred to, well, Gladstone, or did it take a year before you were horrified to discover that you should have been horrified from day one?
I think Stupid Cxnt applies equally well whichever. I'm somewhat amazed the said individual, given the length of time it takes her to realise shit, ever won a place at university in the first place.

It's been shut since 2016 - The South Koreans who operate it, employ(ed) 90% of the workers in the zone from DPRK, they work the same hours as SOK staff, but their salaries went straight to Kims palace
$90m a year.. No wonder Kim was happy to play along with that!!

Edit:
That's $90m per year on 53,000 staff

$1700 per yeas salary. Practically slave labour - Disgusting abuse by both North & South!!

A few decades back I was arguing with somebody in Pokhara about trying to barter down a taxi fare from what was basically 2p in English money. The subsequent 'discussion' between my fellow travellers was brought to a halt when I was asked how much money I'd brought with me from England for my 'travels'. It turned out that the amount, £400 was almost the same that the bloke trying to get a cheap taxi had paid for a raisin farm including the wages of four locals that did the harvesting in the first year. An entire farm, with house. The house was a hovel, but nevertheless.

Sajid Javid now talking bollox:
"In England, of the 7.4 million people who own their own home outright, 4.5 million are 65 or over". - well slap me on the forehead! Of course they fxckin are. Given it takes the average joe/sephine 25 years to pay off the fxckin mortgage most folks who own their own home outright are hardly likely to be under the age of 27 for example.
"last year, the average first-time buyer in London needed a deposit of "£90,000" - well it was £47,000 when me and the missus gave up and moved back up north and bought a house with 0% deposit for £19,000. It still has taken us 25 years to clear the mortgage, but similar options are still available.

Re: The Politics Thread
Live reporting from BBC News, showing vast crowds in Harare and Bulawayo, with the voiceover talking about 'the people of Zimbabwe coming out in unity' to demand Mugabe stands down!
They really don't get it... The crowds were Ndebele, with a contingent of whites. Not a Shona in sight. Mugabe is Shona. Shona make up 80% of the country. Mugabe once set the Shona on the Ndebele and more than 20,000 Ndebele were murdered by his Shona forces. Mugabe has also driven a programme of pure hate and land grabs against white farmers. The biggest irony of all was that the BBC's commentator was an Irishman! You'd have thought he'd have a vague idea of what sectarianism means.

Oh yes, there's no doubt that the old generation war veterans, and the Mnangagwa faction of Zanu PF have turned on him and led the revolt. No doubt at all. All of those are Shona. It's their actions that enabled the Ndebele and whites to come out and demonstrate, because without their 'approval' they'd have been shit scared to even express a mild opinion on it. I was just observing the appalling news service the BBC were serving up, conflating two things into one, and then compounding the error.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2017 10:27 pm^ the Beeb seem to be suggesting that he's lost support of those normally loyal to him too? If Mnangagwa becomes President (which is almost certain) he'll make Mugabe look like a saint. Not that Grace Mugabe should ever have had the job, which she 100% would have if the armed forces hadn't stepped in.

You are correct. Mnangagwa has served in Mugabe government for nearly 40 years and has been his right hand man for all of that time. Things will not change one bit. Note to History: Mnangagwa is a homicidal, vicious, anti-democratic, racist cxxt. He's not the new hero that he's been made out to be, he's simply a continuation of the old failed order.
