Wildschut is a player with every attribute to be a top player, but who has never cut it. He had two good seasons in Holland, was on UK TV channels a few times. I lost track of him until Wigan, where he was decent, then again after he left. The general opinion from Wigan fans seems to be that he goes missing a lot, but can win you a game.

He's the sort of player PP will think can be rapidly improved with good coaching - same as Wyke. Does need to improve, though - and we need an agreed fee in the loan. Even if we have little chance of meeting it, we need it in just in case.

Hobbs makes more sense as a signing if we can get someone like Wildschut in. Having genuine pace from Sammy and Wildschut would allow us to play on the counter and mitigate lack of speed at the back.

I don't think this is realistic. He transferred for $7m GBP, and is believed to be on $25Kpw. We're probably paying our max of $10k now.
...For a guy who's only good for half a game if his extensive track record is to be believed.
The rumour is WIgan where he's played his best football couldn't match his terms you think cash-strapped us will sign him for a FEE (four letter word to KenAn) and BIG WAGES and BONUSES - you've killed our chairman!

An agreed fee is entirely realistic. Norwich made him available for transfer, not loan - they're prepared to loan him out because they need to free up wages.

I agree that it looks an unlikely deal, but I've seen weirder things happen.

For what it's worth, been told the finances are already agreed with Norwich and it's now about sorting it between player and manager at BWFC.

That's from someone at another club, though, not Bolton. No idea what is going on in the club.

He's really not that good to be that worried by someone doing that. If they do then fair play. Suggestions are he's been in a medical this morning.

Won't be Wigan and Ipswich have struggled to find the cash, apparently. If all this is kosher, we'll just take the Amos loan money and dump it into Norwich's account.

Anything can go wrong in football, but I'm not sure he was ever worth what Norwich paid so I don't see anyone stumping up huge money now he has flopped there and not made an impact at Cardiff. Norwich know they have dropped one.

We'll find out soon.

Lee Anderson usually unleashes emojis by this point. The fact he hasn't might suggest it isn't quite as advanced as the rumours make out. Given he usually does it 24 hours prior to any announcement.

We all seem to agree that it'd be a better signing than we expected, though. So that's nice if it happens.

His Wikipedia page reads like it was written by LOVS (ie someone with English as a second language).

If you went to or watched Cardiff away last season then he's the lad who came on pretty early after Danny Ward took a knock. Warnock played him as a striker and he got in behind us a few times. Also managed to out-muscle our centre backs.
