Norway, no way.

Not unless we get a vast reduction on payment into the EU and retain the right to deal with EU migrants the same way as everyone else.
There are other problems connected with this deal as far as trade agreements with non EU countries, the EU will not find it acceptable for us to trade on our own terms with other nations and undercut them.
That in a nutshell is the crux of the matter, removing any chance for us to do better in case it undermines the soon to be Federal union.
I know you don't want something close to Norway. BUT it removes the federal risk that you mention.

And it can probably (as outlined above) get through parliament. I'm unconvinced that any deal you want either exists with the EU or can pass through parliament. There is clearly no way that parliament will sign off on no deal. The only way you can get there is perhaps via another general election. But even then I'm unconvinced anything other than a big Brexit led Tory majority gets you there.

I have always accepted there would have to be some sort of compromise in any settlement with the EU but not capitulation like May has done.
What really irks me is the remainers who have done nothing but obstruct any meaningful negotiation and my shoe almost went through the TV when that crowing, contriving, freeloading scumbag Gina Miller popped up gloating how she was foiling Brexit, you know the woman that only believes in democratic votes if she wins.
The vote was lost by remain and they should have rallied round to get a great deal for the UK, one thing is for certain if 17.4 million people are shoved aside by the wimps and privileged, it will never end there, resentment will last decades and a new UKIP type party will rise stronger then ever (and I don't mean the current crack pot one).
In retrospect throwing out the Red carpet in 1940 for the Germans would have been just as palatable as what we are going to end up with, the idiot youth will long regret they were so feeble minded and weak unlike previous generations.
Second referendum, in or out, not like fan boys hero Stammer wants, deal or stay, that fcuking blokes a complete joke.
At least the French, to give them some credit, know how to revolt.

We asked in or out last time. The reason the second question is needed is actually for your benefit. If the vote is simply "out" you then have parliament trying to change what that means or interpret it - as we see now. This gives you a chance to say "we don't want a deal we just want to leave straight up" and parliament wouldn't be able to alter that wish - if that was the public decision.

I think to get support for a 2nd vote you have to offer something to everyone. Give leavers a chance to push for no deal. Remainers a chance to re-test public opinion in general.

If the public want no-deal as disastrous as that probably will be IMO, then that is the public choice.

I think that was the original preferred choice actually, the 'deal' most thought about was trade and not all the other shite we are getting lumped with

No title, a small basement flat in Peckham, and five minutes of fame, I'd'a'thought.

An old tale:

Many years ago, when steam trains roamed the earth, I broke my right thumb in seven places, leaning out of a carriage to grab the window belt when the door blew open.(the guard was supposed to have checked-he didn't) Slamed the door shut on my thumb and as I was alone I had to pull the emergency cord. An ambulance met me at Bolton and whisked me off to Bolton Royal Infirmary (it was when we had one). Got plastered up and told, " sorry, it's your hand; you can walk, so you'll have to find your own way home!" (It was 2-0'clock in the mornng by then) . Not thrilled as I lived up Halliwell road, but I walked home anyway. Compensation? You're kidding. I was one payment behind on my union dues (I was an apprentice) so they wouldn't take my case.
Am I too late for an apology from British Rail, only I felt so ignored and dejected. So much so that I when't back to work after two weeks just for companionship. :|

Just witnessed this:
Walker walks into bar and asks for a menu. Walker takes menu to group clustered around a table.
I get up, determined to get another pint before bunch of walkers can return to bar to dither over choice of exotic fruit J2Os and random fevertree additives (because believe me, this bunch look like Trouble).
Standing at bar as Sam the barman catches my eye, number one walker marches up and intercepts him before he can start pulling my pint (no, he doesn't have to ask what I want!).
"Excuse me" says hyperactive and squeaky voiced walker, interrupting Sam's progress towards 'my' handpull, "but this is the same menu we were given the last time we came here in* [* whenever]"
"Yes", says Sam, "however the specials change every day and are listed on the board" he says, helpfully pointing to board which says haddock in milk sauce, butter mash and creamed peas; beef casserole; salmon fishfingers on toast; soup of the day, cream of duck & turkey.
"But", interrupts the first person I'm probably going to throttle for the pure joy of it on a Sunday afternoon in public, "it's Veganuary".

We need to pause at this moment to point out she pronounced it Vee-gan-you-'arry. In the short time I've known about this no-doubt-yet-another-fxcking-Yankee import, like Black Friday and Halloween, I always thought it was pronounced Vej-an-you-'arry.

Sam, bless him, started to pull my pint, but was forcefully interrupted [a hand actually reached over the bar to stop his pint-pulling], whilst the increasingly hysterical walker demanded that she "needed a Vegan choice. It was his duty to provide one. He MUST know that it was Vee-gan-you-'arry!!!"

By now, surrounded by the entire tribe of walkers, one of whom was muttering behind me that they "Never would have come" if they had known in advance that spicy mungbean soup* [*or whatever] was unavailable, and another who actually placed his hand on my shoulder and implored [through the atiface of a look in his eyes similar to that of a puppy dying of starvation] that "did I not find it disgraceful?", I was getting quite pissed off.

Sam fxcked off to find upper management/kitchen staff intervention. I finally got my pint.

Walkers proceeded to argue about their 'rights' to eat vegan, with the manager, who pointed out, quite reasonably that there was a vegetarian option on the menu. This apparently wasn't good enough, could it be tweaked to become vegan if the cheese topping was removed.

Once it was established that the meal would also be gluten free, nut free, and organic, they finally settled down.

...
An hour later, after chugging copious amounts of tap water, and chomping down on their specially prepared meal the biggest (until then, silentest) of the mob, has gone up to the bar and demanded they be given the meal free of charge because of the "hassle" the "upset caused", the "substantial wait for the meal to arrive", and the "bland nature" of the meal.
Plates empty, they've all filed out in protest...

I'd have called the police and charged them all with theft.

I (sadly, because I love her dearly) have an adult daughter who suffers from Veganism. I can attest she has never known hunger in her life. Maybe if she had....

See, this is where "equality" (rallying cry "We shall overcome") doesn't actually mean that at all, but role reversal with menace.

They called the police. I have no idea what that outcome was, because I left about twenty minutes later. The police had not in that time, turned up, nor were likely too until at least Tuesday, according to the civilian on the other end of the phone when they called.
By that time the culprits could've walked to Bolton...
Tell you the truth, I just hope the ignorant cxnts just die in agony for of a lack of Vitamin Y.

Update: apparently I've been filmed and placed on Fascist book having a go at one of them...
I told a minor who accompanied them to "Stop stomping your feet" as it was upsetting my dog... The accompanying footage states: "He Should Not have been confrontational with a child... He should of consulted me first"...

Fxck You.
