I'm not saying it hasn't broken down - in all likelihood it probably has given the complete financial mess we are in - but once again Iles is letting himself be used as a part of a negotiation and is implicitly taking a side. He got lucky last time that he could blame the mess on Anderson rather than the horse he backed specifically in Holdsworth.....

It is a fair point. I do think he gets sucked into the daily negotiation drama's - he's reporting what he hears but its frustratingly lacking in detail. Even detail to suggest why things have broken down - not even a hint.

Like everyone else I would love Iles to be wrong or to be jumping the gun, but it makes perfect sense. The chance of Basran/Brittan not finding anything that affects negotiations during due diligence, or KA not screwing them around trying to bluff with no hand, or the chance of them not seeing whatever they agreed to is now a bad deal after the weekend is close to zero.

As far as I can possibly imagine there's nowt we humble forum-dwellers can do except hope, drink, pray, whatever gets you through the day.
