In TD's reply he said to paraphrase "there are sabre rattlers.....but they'll buy stuff from Asian stores..." And we know there are a lot of people who might not be part of an extreme race hate group or prepared to be violent but who do still say racist things, have racist thoughts and sometimes behave in a racist manner. My view is that this group is not a tiny minority any more. There are lots of people prepared to condemn people purely based on their religion/colour/ethnicity right now - or are prepared to use language that said people would find unacceptable.

Its hard to explain but - see reports of people who don't look "white British" following Brexit being told openly in the street they'd be "sent home now". That is what I'm referring to. That sort of behaviour IMO is far more widespread than overt race hate. But it is still racism.

I think this is probably right. However, there is a huge difference between suggesting the second group is not a tiny minority and that it may be a majority. Leaving aside racist thoughts which cannot be measured I would still guess it is a relatively small percentage of the population that would be prepared to condemn people on the basis of colour. I would also guess there may be a direct co-relation with level of education (but that's my prejudice speaking).

I will add that racism is a thing. But, a lot of people cry 'racist' when what they really mean is 'you don't believe what I believe'.

I got reported on Twitter for saying we should keep ISIS members out of the UK.

Apparently I said that because I dislike brown people. What is the world coming to when you can't say you want to keep terrorists out of your country without getting reported by a fellow Brit who decides to interpret your 'I hate ISIS' line as racism ...

What he means is that he is in the forefront of the minority who are fighting for the majoritys' right to exist by being a majority member of the minority who support the minorities against the majority he wished he wasn't part of...

"Tango and others" will do nothing of the sort. See, here is a classic example of why arguing with you is an absolute waste of time and energy. You credit no one but yourself as having any intelligence; You put words in people's mouths and make wild, sweeping statements that supposedly make your points but totally ignore what everyone else says.
In short, however you describe racism, its current level has to do with Brexit only in the minds of the Remainers, whether you accept that or not. You may as well claim that if the Referendum had never taken place, racism would not be in existence then?
If you want to put the world to rights, start with the guy in the mirror.....

Otherwise we get dragged into elections in a club from which we voted to leave nearly three years ago. There'll be no second referendum either.
Her demeanour was one very much of that she's not going anywhere

She essentially put a stern face on, laid a lot of blame on Parliament, tried to come across as on the side of the Nation fighting against MPs. Then stated her clear plan moving forward of asking MPs to vote a third time on a deal that was resoundingly rejected twice, while discounting a second referendum as undemocratic and not respecting the will of the electorate in the initial vote.

Oh, and before that Corbyn argued for cross party talks, then wouldn’t participate when Chukka Umuna turned up as apparently he’s not a proper leader. Whatever side you’re on in this whole thing, it’s utterly deplorable that party politics is still the number one concern of both of the major leaders.
