Apparently games behind closed doors are not allowed under EFL rules.....further even that would require some presence of some emergency services - who need paying....Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 3:14 pmNo.
The EFL get the season over.
SAG haven't killed anybody.
Nobody gets paid.
We merrily move forward...
(Games behind closed doors. Will we even know if we had any players on the pitch? Are there laws for appointing points if a home side doesn't actually have any players?)

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
Does anyone know what happens if I were to cancel the DD for my ST?
I seem to recall having a similar discussion some time ago with BWFC-I and there was some ambiguity as to whether or not a loan's been taken out, thus invoking the possibility of falling foul of the consumer credit act.

Don't shoot me here but..
His latest outburst gives me more hope than most as it's now included a dig at the players and manager. This could mean that he's having a final swipe at them verbally before losing control of the business.
I do hope it is due to a new owner and not the foregone conclusion that we all hope isn't happening tomorrow.

Notwithstanding other replies, it's very rare for a club to fail to fulfil a fixture. You may remember that at Christmas 1996, flu-ravaged Middlesbrough pulled out of a game at Blackburn on 24hrs' notice; they were docked 3pts, lost the inevitable appeal in March, lost the League Cup final in April, were relegated in May by two points and, for good measure, then lost the FA Cup final too.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 3:14 pmGames behind closed doors. I may be wrong but I don't think any senior English game has been called off (or defaulted) by one team going on strike. And TBH I don't think this one will, either: if it comes to it, the players will surely say they'd rather play the game than effectively seal the team's relegation. But more importantly, if the SAG don't permit it, the game doesn't go ahead – and then, AFAIK, the League is once again in unprecedented waters, not long after doling out an FFP punishment to Birmingham.

Back in the 1880s we had some games called off because our players couldn't get through a snowstorm ( but, I understand your 'drift' [sic]).
My understanding of this is that the safety certificate merely results in a lack of attendance by fans, and doesn't affect a game.
But, however, if the players are on strike, AND, we are playing behind closed doors...
Hyperhypothetical, but hey, it's a forum

So, do we know what's specifically led to the SAG taking this action? Are the stewards on strike as well?

I think it's coz they've not been paid again, thus people speculating back to last time...Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 4:03 pmSo, do we know what's specifically led to the SAG taking this action? Are the stewards on strike as well?

Aye, that's what I was thinking. That'll be all the turnstile operatives as well then. The people serving food and drink are chiefly too fecking dozy to know if they've been paid or not!Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 4:05 pmI think it's coz they've not been paid again, thus people speculating back to last time...Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 4:03 pmSo, do we know what's specifically led to the SAG taking this action? Am I the only one finding this Howard thing on WW a bit weird now.
Been banging on for days that 4.30pm today was the big moment
Yesterday dripped out that 'somehow' Keneth's convinced the beak that because he was out at his mum's he didn't get the letter from the Bahraini royals' lawyers, so now can't do this share thing.
I mean, it just all sounds absolute bollocks and compounds the ongoing bloody lunacy.
Starting to wonder whether this Howard character is 1)ST & 2)Gaspard - in the immortal words of the inimitable Messr John Joseph Lydon, "ever get the feeling you've been had?"

Clicking a few links there reveals that the only quoted director's only previous listed company was a "financial management" company "dissolved via compulsory strike-off".Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 4:30 pmhttps://suite.endole.co.uk/insight/comp ... ldings-ltd

According to other records from that company (https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/comp ... ng-history), Ms Khilji is a South African born in December 1981. Intriguingly but QUITE PROBABLY UNRELATEDLY (I shout this for the benefit of any lurking lawyers), the service address in that previous company was used by tens of thousands of companies for not always entirely positive reasons:
https://financefeeds.com/85-year-old-wo ... s-exposed/
Perhaps interestingly, the new company – address listed as a stone's throw from our stadium - has its "nature of business" listed as "Activities of real estate investment trusts".
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/11837653
Almost certainly interestingly, Ken mentioned a (Mr) Shilji before:
https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2017/august ... chairman7/
But most interesting of all is the name "Gaspard". I've heard this before. I'm digging into it, when I can (this isn't my job). For the record, over the last couple of weeks Paul Aldridge has received several propositions through local councillor Cllr John Walsh and Alan Walsh on behalf of Mr Shabbir Khilji, a local businessman. Unfortunately, at no time has Mr Khilji been able to provide proof of his funds which would be acceptable to the EFL or myself. Indeed, having failed to produce any evidence of his funds, and at the eleventh hour last week, another person was introduced as having joined 'the consortium'. However, it was impossible to try and agree or finalise anything as there was still no evidence of sufficient available funds, despite numerous assurances that it would be provided.

Gaspard is what I did when asked to stump up £38 to get into Loftus Rd on Saturday.

Ormsons farm is at the end of my street!
I'm sure it's been empty for the best part of a year but I'm nipping up asking to borrow a cup of sugar later!
