I know! It's bad enough without some Scottish Tory brat (with no father) sucking off the national teat!TonyDomingos wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 2:50 pmAnd just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, we've now got another royal mouth to feed. Fk. I've had enough.

At least the royals bring some good and indeed revenue to the country, perhaps you could have a word with the hundreds of neredowells in and around Bolton who "suck off the national teat"Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 2:58 pmI know! I will mate. Just send me their names and addresses. I'll post them some relevant leaflets, ok?knobpolisher wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 3:07 pmAt least the royals bring some good and indeed revenue to the country, perhaps you could have a word with the hundreds of neredowells in and around Bolton who "suck off the national teat"Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 2:58 pmI know! I cannot think of anything worse than the ST owning the club. Other than liquidation that is the worst possible outcome. Rather have a May/Corbyn double act owning us than that bunch of clowns. And that is saying something.

I understand folks concerns about the ST in its current guise, although not to the extent that I'd prefer KA or Bassini at the wheel ahead of them.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 5:07 pmI cannot think of anything worse than the ST owning the club. If the worst comes to the worst, then the ST will need to be the focal point for all those Wanderers fans interested in getting a new club off the ground. The alternative would be 3 or 4 splinter groups and nothing coming from any of them.
At the moment the ST appears to be a group of well meaning but limited individuals. Amongst the BWFC supporting public there will be enough expertise and know how necessary to set up a new club if the worst comes to pass.

Who is not well meaning then? I only know of this Allanson chap. Is this a power corrupts type synopsis?
My main issue is it feels a bit small time - but definitely better to have a club.

If you use a game of thrones analogy the ST are Danearys. Seem unlikely. Powerless. Remote. But plucky underdogs who keep coming. As things continue to go to shit they suddenly reveal their hungry lust for power that has driven their past somewhat dubious behaviour.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 8:11 pmWho is not well meaning then? And it becomes apparent they are no better than the Anderson’s of this world. Sniff of power and ownership and they’ll do anything.

Are you ok?
They're far from ideal. Weirdos. But they're better than the two current front runners. And liquidation.
They haven't got the dosh though. More worried as someone else said they feck it up by getting involved.

I will say this. Anything is better than liquidation. But do not be naive and think the trust are well meaning idiots. They aren’t. And you only need look at some involved and their history to see.
I will say no more on this.

If we're doing Game of Thrones analogies then I'd like to see Lee going after Ken with a bow and arrow while he's on the shitter.

What’s the plan for today then? Are we just sitting waiting for a club statement saying we’re going into admin before d-day tomorrow? Anything else expected?

I know you say "I will say no more on this" - without naming individuals, what do you think the Trust is trying to do/achieve that's so nefarious?BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 9:59 pmI will say this. Nixon now tweeting that a deal without admin is possible that's the good news. Bad news is it involves Bassini.

a deal without Admin has always been possible. Just requires someone with very deep pockets.knobpolisher wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2019 10:30 amNixon now tweeting that a deal without admin is possible that's the good news. Bad news is it involves Bassini.
