"Nearly Assassinated by Catholics" by Howard Roark. Unfortunately the only copy got misposted to somebody else.
Gutternberg Press may have a copy....
The wisest and the best of men, nay, the wisest and best of their actions, may be rendered ridiculous by a person whose first object in life is a joke...Darcy. Pride and Prejudice.

Finished Caitlin Moran's How to Build a Girl over the weekend. Only the second book to ever make me laugh out loud throughout. Capable of getting a laugh from any angle. She really is a treasure.

She makes me wince. There are few writers capable of actually making me wince when I read them, but she's right up there alongside Carol Midgley, Wendy Holden, and Jeremy Clarkson.
