[DSb] I agree and understand your first two pars.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2019 7:42 am
Emotionally, I agree (and not just for selfish reasons: it’s a bar to those who might rescue any clubs in distress).
But I also see why they did it - to stop clubs doing what Leicester and Leeds did in the past, running up debts then shedding them via punishment-free bankruptcy.
I don’t know what the answer is but I do think the league have the right to impose a limited transfer embargo, in that they should have to approve new signings. However, the current blanket ban on paying fees (transfer or loan) seems a little punitive if clubs are back in working order.
Then again, I’m not a local business owed money, given small change as a sop, then forced to watch the club pay some herbert ten grand a week to argue about throw-ins.
The second and third (which was chuckle worthy) don't apply as we have not as yet been declared bankrupt but merely placed under administration. I would expect that the administrator would require any applicant for ownership to show their ability to cover all current debts (or make reasonable arrangements with the club's creditors on a pound for pound basis) prior to approving the transactions to take place.
In that case I cannot see why the EFL should continue with punitive action of any kind.

Re: Administration and recovery
Do they have NDAs in North Korea? They probably do. But more relevantly, they do here. As any active bidders aren't allowed to go public during the process, I'm glad we're not getting more Bassini ballooning – although then again, in his instance silence might mean he's still trying. Hope not.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 2:38 pmAll very quiet on the journalistic front.

I wouldn't expect much before the Friday deadline, after which I would hope the administrators - who so far seem efficient and plugged-in - might tell us how many bids we've had. Iles is back off holiday and says "At least three – but potentially as many as five – bidders have now had access to the ‘data room’ and more interest is expected in the next few days". Given the admins have insisted bidders get Fit & Proper clearance before the Friday deadline, it's possible some are getting that before checking the BWFC finances.

Yes, they have NDAs in North Korea, it's called being a good citizen, makes for poor news headlines however.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 4:18 pmDo they have NDAs in North Korea? If Iles and Nixon are shit over here they'd have been ripped apart by anti aircraft guns over there by now. Still, makes for extended periods of non information... one almost pines for the Ken Klaxon Klarion Kalls.

Re: Administration and recovery
feck* hell I thought Bassini was quiet, even allowing for NDA’s. Mans a nutter. I note his dispute seems to be with the hotel admin team? Anyway, I’ll pass it off as him just trying to get in the papers again...
Re: Administration and recovery
Does that mean he will be making a bid to the administrators or fecking off into the sunset?

Re: Administration and recovery
All very interesting, but hardly helping anything. For me, a typical and unsympathetic hard-nosed historical financial assessment of what most already knew. What's needed now are solutions, not how many hands can be held out. Consultancies are themselves much as what they are accusing K.A. of and little to do with football. We need all the help we can get, not criticism for what the fans had no control over ever. Too many grasping agents, consultancies and greedy players are what's ruining/ruined football (oh, and all the august bodies of fat men in expensive suits posing as H.M.F.C and the game's governing bodies.) . None of that's any secret. Somebody at the hands out end will realise some time that football can't exist without the very fans who are the real victims and finance the lot. .Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 9:43 amInteresting read:

Re: Administration and recovery
So the Brentford postponed game, when is there going to be a further announcement on that ?
Further points deduction ?
Further points deduction ?

Over and done with. No further pronouncements necessary. Final league table published. I doubt there will be any points deduction but could be wrong on that point [sic]. Forget Brentford, it's history.

Surely the failure to complete our fixtures means a punishment for last season not this coming one?
