I agree. And personally I think signing Wheater again probably would have been a mistake. We do need experience. But I think his injuries have taken too much out.Prufrock wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 9:02 pmI think you'd have to be pretty slow/giddy to think we weren't heading for a more austere future. We've just being running up catastrophic losses for the past 3 years and the folks coming in have been coppering up for weeks to see if they can afford it. I'm fine with that!BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 8:16 pmOn Wheater Iles says terms offered at Bolton not good. Points to a more austere future. Yay!
Far fewer bankrolling chairmen down here. Our average attendance will be comfortably top 6 and double half the league. Even within our means we'll eventually get it right down here. Might take a few years mind.

Not sure I agree, always subject to the money of course. At this point knowing the code for the changing rooms is a massive plus. Spirit is going to be massive and having people who know the club is huge.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 9:12 pmI agree. His injury record over the last few years has been fine. Wasn't there something about some insoles or something? He's played 33, 33 and 43 games working backwards over the past three seasons and it's tended to be two in a week he's struggled with (far less of an issue in League 1). He was also a class above last time we were down here and it's not like he's got any slower (big fan of how his wiki page already says he plays for Oldham but still says he can play right back!)
On fewer two game weeks, one of our seven players is a regular international. I hope Hall gets a chance this year but we definitely need another striker!

In terms of spirit I’m not convinced lads from last year would really have much love left.Prufrock wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 9:39 pmNot sure I agree, always subject to the money of course. He struggles with three games in a week due to his back.
I like him but think he’s finished as much more than a likeable squad man. He will do a job but I’d rather we spent what little we have elsewhere.

If it does happen tomorrow then I think it's gonna be a ding dong do of a Saturday.

Re: Administration and recovery
Thing with Wheater is that he's worth a few goals at this level too. Didn't he get like 9 last time around? I know he's older now ...
Anyway, praise the Lord it's almost over the line

Re: Administration and recovery
Now reckons he has some mad theory about the whole situation that's too crayzee to post on the internet.
I'm all bated breath and shit.

Just a bitter prick. I wonder if he is losing a contact? Thing is he can make a story up and get it printed, post some cryptic tweets and carry on.
