As another aside/diversion I recall the daily mirror running a comp on a Saturday where they picked a match and sent along a chap named "chalkie white" and you had to approach him say you are chalkie white and I claim my £25 (?)Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 10:32 amYou are Alan Nixon and I claim my £5.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 10:27 amThink legals still are ongoing....tick tock.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 10:24 amAfter that little diversion, time has moved on to 10:24...You might have thought if there was just "signing" and stuff to complete last night that someone might have mentioned something by now...

Stuff was ongoing earlier and I think the expression "its going to be tight" is appropriate here!

Ha. I sorta remember that - but if pressed, I'd have said it was run by The Pink...knobpolisher wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 10:40 amAs another aside/diversion I recall the daily mirror running a comp on a Saturday where they picked a match and sent along a chap named "chalkie white" and you had to approach him say you are chalkie white and I claim my £25 (?)Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 10:32 amYou are Alan Nixon and I claim my £5.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 10:27 amThink legals still are ongoing....tick tock.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 10:24 amAfter that little diversion, time has moved on to 10:24...You might have thought if there was just "signing" and stuff to complete last night that someone might have mentioned something by now...

Back to 'working hard' and 'trying to get it over the line'.
More bullshit last night then.

No - the agreement was done last night. This is the actual contractual stuff the legal side being processed. Its not like handing a card over swiping it and it being done. And yes its highly unlikely but still possible that something cayboshes it even now. Until its signed - you can't be 100% certain. But they released the information last night because people were deserving to be told where things stood.

Head of Terms were agreed weeks ago. Agreements mean nothing in this shit show. Only an official announcement. And I refuse to believe it until then.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 11:08 amNo - the agreement was done last night. This is the actual contractual stuff the legal side being processed. Heads of terms have been signed 3 times - they aren't legally binding. They are simply a rough outline of the broad agreement.LeverEnd wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 11:27 amHead of Terms were agreed weeks ago. Agreements mean nothing in this shit show. You're dealing with a situation that has been changing drastically several times a day. The complexities of this are just ridiculous - so I'm told - and you have people dealing with aspects of it who have never seen anything like this before. And yes until its done it is not done. I think that is very sensible.
But had they said nothing last night people would be in the dark. So...can't win really.
Re: Administration and recovery
They overstated it. Now people are annoyed. And understandably so.

Players are being paid ahead of completion to ensure game goes ahead tomorrow regardless of state of completion. Understand that completion has to be today but 12pm deadline now pushed back as the legal discussions continue.

Re: Administration and recovery
There are idiots constantly annoyed by everything. You can't help it. Had nothing been said people would have been annoyed. There are so many contracts and legal agreements involved and multiple solicitors involved representing various parties. It isn't easy and clear this should have taken place weeks ago but things needed to be in place that were not.

Sorry, wasn't doubting you. The above details the early incidences but yes, most good ideas get reused.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 11:12 amWas doubting nothing other than my memory, good Sir! Re: Administration and recovery
So the team tomorrow is 6 senior outfield players + 5 scholars as the registration cut off has now expired.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 11:45 amPlayers are being paid ahead of completion to ensure game goes ahead tomorrow regardless of state of completion. This is going to drag on to next Friday.
God this is getting tedious.

Re: Administration and recovery
I'm pretty sure (famous last words) it HAS to be today or game goes. But as for team - not sure - EFL have been working with process so they may allow us to register some extras - they haven't called game off yet....I understand we were going through a process of registering players in advance - so who knows what will happen there. We might have registered some younger lads already...DJBlu wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 12:13 pmSo the team tomorrow is 6 senior outfield players + 5 scholars as the registration cut off has now expired.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 11:45 amPlayers are being paid ahead of completion to ensure game goes ahead tomorrow regardless of state of completion.
