Re: Administration and recovery
Iles: "Spoke to Andy Hosking at Quantuma this morning and he has confirmed he has three potential buyers for the hotel and is waiting on details that any of them are in a position to proceed. Statement due out later [today]."
Meanwhile, asked by a Twitterer "You got a clue who it is?" about the hotel buyer, dear old Nicko replied "Wait until it's done." Feel free to have fun with that one.

I'd say No it's not going to be done tomorrow, or Tuesday, nor Wednesday... Fxck knows what odds I'd give but I'm pretty confident.

They won't be "walking away", completely blindsided and blown away, maybe.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 9:06 pmTomorrow? Doubt it.
I feel this week it’s either done or FV walk away...just a hunch.

Must be a bloody long statement for it to have taken this long to type up. Maybe spellcheck keeps on getting imminint, soun and clos wrong.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 8:36 pmIles: "Spoke to Andy Hosking at Quantuma this morning ... Statement due out later [today]."

Quantuma have spoken
2 more weeks before the sale of the hotel can be completed.
Spidey senses say that FV knew this was coming and that their bid isn't the best. Oh this is going to go tits up.

Re: Administration and recovery
I read the two weeks as the time before the Bassini / Ken hearing. But I also read it as FV second in the hotel race. Are the Kamani brothers trying to get the club or do they literally just want the hotel I wonder.
Interesting two agreements issued - says the admins are doing everything to assist FV IMO...but they need to put up more...

They have been out on twitter saying they aren't interested in the club whatsoever. A couple of weeks back.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 10:00 pmI read the two weeks as the time before the Bassini / Ken hearing. But I also read it as FV second in the hotel race. Re: Administration and recovery
Who knows but if the club folds what the hell happens to the hotel?
I wonder if the supporters trust and their high net worth individuals still think admin was the best way to resolve this?

I heard the hotel was profitable. Without a club next door who knows.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 10:13 pmWho knows but if the club folds what the hell happens to the hotel?

I just can't see how the hotel is viable if it's not attached to a football stadium. You'd have difficulty levelling the stadium without taking out the hotel too. And there's a bloody Travelodge over the road!DJBlu wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 10:16 pmI heard the hotel was profitable. What the buggery-f*ck does a multi-millionaire clothes merchant want with a hotel anyway?

We've got a team of kids willing to give 100% for feck all, could set up a sweatshop.truewhite15 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 10:19 pmI just can't see how the hotel is viable if it's not attached to a football stadium. “The joint administrators are keen to reiterate their position in respect to the football club; they remain committed to giving every assistance to aid a successful solution to their situation, however they can only transact with those bidders who put forward a credible offer that can be considered is in the best interest of the creditors and staff of the hotel.”
In other words: FV's offer, which is one of the two, isn't in the best interests (ie offering the best cash, or the most up front, or whatever) of the two bids.

Because it's an "investment opportunity" protected by a politically-motivated low interest rate*, many rich folk get into property. Some of them, like the Kamanis, even use clean money to do it.
*"Look! The house your bank lets you live in is now 'worth' twice what it was! No, don't ask us how your children will ever afford one. There's two main answers, and you won't like either of them."

So they just want a little extra cash to swim in. Terrific people.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 10:30 pmhttps://kamaniproperty.com/truewhite15 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 10:19 pmWhat the buggery-f*ck does a multi-millionaire clothes merchant want with a hotel anyway?

Re: Administration and recovery
You could read a million things into that statement which mostly seems to be arse covering. Quantuma effectively admit joint ownership is required. They almost seem
to be saying we need a backup in case FV cannot after the club deal. Then seem to hint FV need to offer more money. I think it’s a whole load of nowt personally and covering of arses.
Bottom line is I don’t expect FV to hang around two more weeks.

Re: Administration and recovery
It seems pretty obvious ( to me at least) that all this is proving that the last thing anybody cares about is the very thing that matters, Bolton Wanderers football team. The whole lot of those involved are playing some form of financial Monopoly-cum-poker game where the best bluffer wins. So far the stated money is just that, paper with numbers on and even that nobody has actually seen. All that's in the hat so far seems to be a lot of I.O.U's and promissory notes accompanied by a bunch of solicitors and legal advisers all talking up a storm while the bills mount up daily. It's just a pity there are no stables attached to the hotel premises that would at least be a valid reason for the odour of caca-de-toros that hovers in the Rivington air.
If the club lose the fans (which could well happen unless something gets sorted soon) all that will be left is a site for a rival to the Trafford Centre on the Horwich line.

I'm thinking maybe their paralegal is on annual leave.
