Big feed before you start. Then a Spartan lifestyle. Like a monk on the eve of Lent. I like it.

How you feeling Worthy?
Nice wagon wheel LE? Mr GG thinks they are better without jam. He’s a strange one.
Done sod all this week. Due to run this evening but supposed to be -10 tonight here so we sacked it off.

Really happy to be back at it this week, knee much better and able to last longer than a few mins (matron, etc). Next step is to get a decent longish run in as well as some speed work on the track (and dodging the cavalcade of toddlers that now use it as a playground) to really get back into a decent regime.

Yes, I was in a deserty bit of Dubai for 6 years. I'd say 90% of the time I prefer the weather here on Skye. I'm lucky that we have our own micro climate in my village which means we generally don't get as cold. We're mainly very wet and windy.
The thing I miss about Dubai was not having to think about clothes. I wore the same all year round and it was just a question of how many showers a day you needed. Currently wearing 5 layers at work and still cold Compensated by these views though:

Every time you comment on this thread AT, I think you might have gone for a run!
Have you had much snow? I’m currently snow jealous of everyone. We had just a sprinkling down here in the very south. Weather cold enough to put me off a run this week though.

You needn't worry about me running...anywhere! Even when I trained in my younger sporty days I didn't runGooner Girl wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 11:23 amEvery time you comment on this thread AT, I think you might have gone for a run!

Lots of snow on the mountains but just a little where I live. I'm right on the coast in a relatively sheltered bay, though the wind finds its way in
Edit - Having said that, it has just started snowing

Nice pics AT. Beautiful part of the world. I've swapped Enfield for something more picturesque. I'll try and put something up......Abdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 10:57 amYes, I was in a deserty bit of Dubai for 6 years. I'd say 90% of the time I prefer the weather here on Skye. To be fair GTE, Enfield wasn't the most picturesque place I've been, though an upgrade on Wood Green

BP and I are out for a trot in half an hour. Guess where it's just started raining?
