For the record, Colchester have drawn with all of the top four this season and a fortnight ago were two up on Tranmere before being hauled level. It's opponents like Oldham they've struggled with. But then, it's a very weird league - or season, perhaps. Partly for that reason I certainly wouldn't draw any conclusions on today's result, but I agree that anything other than a win will see a blip turn to a dip.

They will be awestruck by both the size and splendour of our stadium, the images of club legends daubed on the inner walls and by whatever the feck it is that Maddison has on his feet.
3-0 to us today with all the goals coming in the first half, or as I prefer to call it, our good half.
By the way, what's the protocol when 2 x 2 minutes silences are in order?

Shared, I'd imagine. It will only be at our place anyway.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 12:52 pm

Last time Delf was a sub, he came on and scored...

Happy with the changes for todays match. Seem sensible given the opposition. Hopefully we'll keep high standards and get the result we need. Might be the kick up the arse that Delf needs.

I'd be happy with that being our 4th after Maddison' hat trick, before Doyle grabs a couple, late on.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 2:06 pmLast time Delf was a sub, he came on and scored...

Who plays behind Doyle? Mads or Dapo? For me I’d like to see Dapo in that role but it’s probably the greater risk.

Not yet fully convinced by Dapo at 10 but I understand why you like the idea. They should be fluid, as long as they're not on each other's toes.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 2:12 pmWho plays behind Doyle? Mads or Dapo? Actually, as Isgrove is *much* better on the right than left, and Maddison's left-footed and thus more likely to shoot if right or central, I'd go Dapo-Madz-Izzy left to right

Harrogate seem to be naming six subs to our seven?

I see John Stead is on their bench. He must be knocking on a bit now.
Looks like a good line up from us. 1-0 win and no buffering please.

Maddison winning us our first free kick by taking the ball beyond their player.
Give him the chance and he's going to score.

Looks like we're expecting them to roll over.
Long 90 minutes ahead if it carries on like this. Jesus wake up ffs.
Harrogate with 2 attempts in the early minutes.

Have we gone a bit more direct?
