Re: Tonight's Football
Daft thing is, at one time being seen as soft was despised, even by your own team mates, no, especially by them. Now. even powder puff tackles bring out Oscar winning performances ( Ronaldino?) and make you a hero to your own and despised by the opposition and the fans.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 3:30 pm
Struck me as a mini Liverpool - happy to kick lumps off Mendes Gomes but as soon as they were so much as breathed on the rolled round on the floor pleading for cards.

Just seen the Brentford manager doing a lap round the ground Pre game to try and ‘get the fans going’. Rivalling Delia for cringe factor here.

Referee pulling a Barry Knight here. Giving Brentford one of the most ridiculous penalties I’ve ever seen. Purely down to fan noise. Nonsense.

Hoping Lincoln do the business at Wem-ber-ley.
Nowt against Blackpool but I'd rather us be playing both them and Sunderland next season than Lincoln.

Alternatively I’m guessing Lincoln less likely to threaten the top places again than the others.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 5:45 pmHoping Lincoln do the business at Wem-ber-ley.

But I do enjoy a trip to Blackpool. So yeah.

Re: Tonight's Football
We never win at Blackpool so they can bugger off. Plus them getting promoted after all their hardships would at least give us hope and I've never been to Lincoln before. I do think Sunderland will be the front runners next season if they hold their nerve and don't sack another manager.

Their manager was on after the game talking about restricting the squad on a possibly reduced budget. Not sure they are going to be big spenders. Most of their squad is out of contract too.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 8:02 pmWe never win at Blackpool so they can bugger off. They did and defended well but made life a bit hard for themselves. Tranmere are a poor poor side.

Yeah but if they’d kept him they’d still not be going to Wembley and their fans would have to listen to his 15 minute post match missive. So they are up on the deal regardless.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 4:43 pmSacking Keith Hill worked a treat then?!BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 4:11 pmThey did and defended well but made life a bit hard for themselves. Leicester missing out on top 4 as it stands. Be a shame for them. They’ve been in there longer than any other team this season.

Great start by FGR, to level the tie at 2-2 with 8 minutes played...

Glad that seasons finished as an Arsenal fan. Can’t think of any ‘highlights’ really, save the development of ESR and Saka.
