Johnstone is a very good footballer.

Physicality seems the difference. I mean it's their thing but they're all over us and have overloads down both sides. Doing well in the ball but fancy they'll have too much in the end.

At the ground and this nails it. They are just a little quicker and stronger. As you’d expect. We’ve done ok. There are issues though. Front three not done enough to hold the ball or offer outlets.

Half time, 0-0. Barnsley have perhaps had the better of it with their strong, high press. Two chances for them - one correctly ruled out for offside, one which they should probably have finished. But we've stuck to our footballing guns, attempting to play at every opportunity, and have had a few half chances of our own. Midfield is battling for every ball, defence looks solid - Santos and Johnston look a good partnership. Gordon has been terrific at left back. Doyle, Delf and Isgrove though - not doing enough with the little that's come their way.

Agree with these. Felt like they had 3 or 4 more on the pitch than we did. We've grown into it though. Barnsley may have forgotten they can't put 6 subs on after an hour like they could last year.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 8:50 pmAt the ground and this nails it. Isgrove faded badly…Delf improved a little last 10 but nowhere near good enough. Doyle I am guessing will do another hour.
The axis of Santos, Johnston and MJ looks good. Dixon’s been fine. Sarce playing well. Also thought Gordon looked fine defensively as well certainly after the first fifteen minutes and overload after overload down his side. His passings not crisp or accurate enough.

Gordon trying really hard. Just a yard off the pace for me in most things he does.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 8:54 pmIsgrove faded badly…Delf improved a little last 10 but nowhere near good enough. Doyle I am guessing will do another hour.

Are we in need of change in a couple of areas?
