That's a penalty.

Hmm. Bright side: another dominant performance. Dark side: three successive zeroes in the goals-for column, either side of the Sherpa Van Reserves game.
Far from bad, but not good enough, really. Not for those who think we can get promoted again.

Very very unlucky tonight
Done by the ref
Burton anti football
Nothing to worry about for me. A fit kachunga, ameachi and Bakayoko to add to the mix. Plus Declan John would have made a difference I think (Gordon played well but John’s much better going forward). We’re a good team, lacking a bit of depth in key areas.
Hope the ref gets a puncture on the m6

Bakayoko is a big miss. We’ll be fine…hard to beat still and go right to the final whistle as well.
Played some good football - as we have done in most of the games. It’s a work in progress but I tell you what I would rather watch us than burton Albion any day of the week.

Stats say shit tons of possession with over 400 completed passes however only 36 of them in the opposition's box.

How many passes are we supposed to have in the box? They had 9 men in there most of the game! We played well, it will come.
Ref had a clear view of push, bottlejob.

Was a superb performance we did absolutely nothing wrong. Do wonder what game people watch. Isgrove was outstanding.

Absolutely excellent performance tonight and with the chances we missed, especially Kachunga, you can’t just blame the ref. Yes the goal should have stood and yes it was a penalty but we should have won this game comfortably. Once again Doyler never got into the game and if I’m being honest, he should have put his chance away before Lee’s goal was disallowed and who was it who was offside? It’s not the first time Doyle’s been too slow to get back. It’s ok saying if we keep playing like that we’ll be ok but if you don’t have players who can score you won’t win anything. Doyle isn’t a target man and I’m afraid Kachunga doesn’t look like a replacement for me, more a winger. We can cling to the hope that Baka might help but he’s hardly got a prolific record. If Sturridge is a realistic option then Sharon and IE need to do everything they can to bring him in otherwise we just don’t look like having enough to take advantage of our brilliant approach play.

Are you on drugs or just a wind up? Sturridge is bandied round as a joke. We couldn’t afford his little toe.Whitesince63 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 10:16 pmAbsolutely excellent performance tonight and with the chances we missed, especially Kachunga, you can’t just blame the ref. The goal was incorrectly ruled out. That’s all there is to it. Doyle played very well tonight.

We’ve got a Doyle replacement he’s called Bakayoko. Doyle is a great striker at this level anyway but Kachunga came on because he couldn’t get any space out of Burton’s 9 man wall. Which made perfect sense as kachunga plays deeper and finds different space. Once that lad gets a couple of goals he will fly, confidence issue.
Oh and bankrupting the club on the basis of a semi fit gambling cheat isn’t I suspect in Sharon’s business plan. I’d rather we built sustainably now and if that means league one for a bit im fine with that. Enjoyed the game

Thought Kachunga struggled a bit. But that’s how it is. You can’t blame us for not scoring. We did.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 10:25 pmWe’ve got a Doyle replacement he’s called Bakayoko. One of our best performances for a long time. They're top 3 with few goals because they can defend. We'll play nowhere near that and win comfortably.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 10:15 pmWas a superb performance we did absolutely nothing wrong. Do wonder what game people watch. Not sure ‘outstanding’ is accurate. His poor crossing and finishing do cost us, as much as his industry is a big positive going forwards and back.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 10:15 pmWas a superb performance we did absolutely nothing wrong. I thought Gordon looked like he belonged tonight, and you can see his confidence building. Quite a turnaround for the lad.
