Plymouth match

Re: Plymouth match
It's a bit harsh to criticise FV for doing what they've said they'd do. They have provided funds to strengthen every window, they've invested in backroom to improve recruitment (and rectified a big mistake in phoenix, for whom i.blame Peter fecking Kenyon) Unfortunately players that looked a good fit have been a bit shit so far.
I'll be looking at the next window with interest, seen nothing to suggest we won't strengthen again.
As for this game, it's actually going better than I anticipated at 2-0!
Saturday is the important one, because if we lose that then we're in trouble.

We need better players as it's apparent our squad is threadbare.

Sarce has already run three times more than Sheehan and Baka have all game.

Re: Plymouth match
They have taken the sting out of this one now. Had to score that Sarce chance.

Re: Plymouth match
Yes. Our best 11 is
Dixon
Jones
John
Santos
Johnston
MJ
Lee
Sarce
Doyle
Isgrove
Dapo
After that I don’t think we’ve got anyone who I’d say is good enough for this level. Not what we’ve seen so far. Gordon perhaps.
Re: Plymouth match
They're both absolute rubbish from what I've seen. As is Kachunga. We're stuck with them all on contracts as well.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 9:22 pmSarce has already run three times more than Sheehan and Baka have all game.

Re: Plymouth match
Imagine if we had of started awake, not conceded sloppy goals. Could be fighting for a point now - ala Cheltenham away last season.
Re: Plymouth match
Fully agree with this. Given the terrible state of affairs we had found ourselves in it'll be good to be making steady progress.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 9:18 pmMight have to spend a few years in league one. But that’s where we are at. I don’t mind it. First we’ve got to establish ourselves here.
Re: Plymouth match
We've actually been decent this half. If Sarce had put that chance away I might have fancied us to salvage a draw.
Re: Plymouth match
You know you're in trouble when Baptiste is having to make the overlapping runs.
Jesus wept this is dreadful.

Re: Plymouth match
Another corner going the way of Plymouth instead of us getting the benefit of the doubt.
Can't blame the ref for this one but I don't think we've had a fair rub of the green. Seems like Plymouth's tactic was to get the win early on and literally soak up pressure and catch us on the break.
Shades of Zenit St. Petersburg at the moment with this weather.

Another one missed by the c*nt in the yellow shirt.
How can you see a ball go one direction then another and not give a corner is a joke.

Re: Plymouth match
I'm not necessarily having a dig at FV, I was asking BWFCI as he appears to know FV really well if their 3 year plan was to stabilise in League 1 in the 3rd year - if that's the plan then I'm ok with it as I'm happy to just stay up this year, my point is if FV are not going to spend a bit (even if its just on wages i.e. Wigan) then we will just probably stay in League 1 for the next 2,3,4 years ? surely FV want to get some money back by moving up the leagues not just remain as a League 1 club for the foreseeable ?LeverEnd wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 9:19 pmIt's a bit harsh to criticise FV for doing what they've said they'd do. We can look to recruit well in January but if we are not going to invest (even a little) on slightly better wages, then we will just keep getting the players that the better teams don't want, I'm not saying that its right but the better quality players will go to clubs offering the better wages, so again my question is how do we improve enough to get out of League 1 even after another few years in League 1 without more investment in wages to attract the better quality players ?, I'm not asking for FV to break the bank but surely they won't be satisfied staying in League 1 for another few years even if some fans are ok with that.
