Do we not have an extra youth team player that would've liked the opportunity to warm the bench tonight. Seems strange that we've only got 6 on the bench.
Who was the manager that did it as a protest of lack of signings? Was it Lennon?

Gordon Played as a left winger for d&r on loan apparently. I don’t see him as a forward though. Be nice if they swap about and keep the opposition guessing. For me a 442, they won’t be expecting it, and Doyle gets a bit of help to pull the Centre halves around and try and find some space.

All starting positions, isn't it. V little difference between 442 and 4231 (see Sralex "I invented 3 in midfield") especially as Ghost pointed out off the ball when we've done that we've pushed a midfielder up to press.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 7:06 pmDapo up top with Doyler, Kachunga RW? Possible. But has Evatt *ever* played a 4-4-2?
Iles knows no more than us once the team is out and frequently gets it off. I reckon Dapo at 10 and one of John/Gordon (probs Liam) at LW.

And my system was a hybrid of 442 and 4231.Prufrock wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 7:51 pmAll starting positions, isn't it. Gordon right back the secret option!

Great ball through to Declan John from Santos. Whipped across goal, Doyle too far to make anything of it.

Decent start but worried about Liam’s one footedness

Doncaster going to let us have as much ball as we want to then hit on the break.
Dangerous on the left.

I'm all for optimism but the co-commentator appears to think
(1) Liam Gordon playing at right-back is a great opportunity for him to "cut inside and play to his strengths"
(2) the breakthrough is likely to come from a set-piece

We look like a team with no midfield. I’m not surprised. Much rests on Dapos shoulders I feel as not sure anyone else will lift this in our side.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 8:21 pmI'm all for optimism but the co-commentator appears to think

Hardly surprising to be honest. I don't think anyone is really expecting us to have Gordon getting it onto his right and then sprinting against his opposition. Maybe Gordon onto his left and then crossing out to John or whoever is on the left at the time given Dapo / Kachunga are switching.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 8:21 pmI'm all for optimism but the co-commentator appears to think

We've had 0 shots on target but the summariser sees us winning by 2 or 3?
