"Not happening" or "no" would have covered it too...neither of which were used...
Re: January 2022 Transfer Thread
Hard to know what to make of this without being privy to behind the scenes stuff, but another strange one on the face of it. Perhaps continued fallout from whatever happened with Sarce.
Feels a real pivotal month for both Evatt and Markham anyhow. I do genuinely think playoffs and relegation are both still possibilities for us this season, and our January activity will go a long way towards determining in which direction we travel.

I wish I shared your optimism re playoffs TG but I don't. To make up 16pts off playoffs at this point in L1 with the teams up there flying looks a tough ask. We could do it in L2 where there are many poor teams, but L1 has a lot of quality teams. Our defense just does not inspire confidence. 8 points off relegation, a good January recruitment should see us avoid it and finish mid table.

Ah, I didn’t actually realise we were that far off. Perhaps that would be a bridge too far, but still, we can probably get close with some good additions. It’s only been Wigan and Rotherham who I’ve thought looked really good so far.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Thread
I’ve seen some decent sides this season. Even though we beat them Oxford looked good. MK Dons similarly. Plymouth also. And Sunderland have that boring but efficient look that I think will get them over the line.
Crazy to think Ipswich are 6 points ahead of us after their start and our thumping of them. Football really does change quite quickly.
Think we are nowhere near play offs. If we improve on 8 key positions with first team upgrades this window we might have a chance but cannot see that happening.

US Soccer blogs are linking us to Marlon Fossey of Fulham.

For those who are saying "Who?", I can't help a huge amount. He was a name a few years ago and made some provisional USA squads; but he got a serious knee injury and it's apparently taken him 3 years to get back to playing regularly in the reserves and for a time on loan at Shrewsbury. At one stage he was pegged as a future Prem player, but I've not even heard the name in years. If anyone else has anything to on him I'm all ears.

I see he's been given the No. 10 shirt. What should we read into that?!

I genuinely can't recall the last time we offered a player a contract more than three years in length.

Evatt states in an interview about Charles' signing that new recruits will add "youthful energy and pace".
Good. Pace is something we're desperately short of.
