I'm exceedingly ecstatic to have been howlingly wrong.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 10:47 amThis makes me kind of excited but also kinda worried. When it was blowing us on the way to the ground, I joked to my mate I should've out a tenner on the keeper to score.
So half a hand up.
What a superb game that was, just home now and even Mrs LE is slightly interested in hearing about it.
So many good performances but I've got to say Fossey is a star. Cult hero in the making.
And credit to Evatt, didn't see a turnaround like this but he's surprised me again.

Don't be too hard mate, it was on a knife edge at 5-0...might not have come across on couch...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:29 pmI'm exceedingly ecstatic to have been howlingly wrong.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 10:47 amThis makes me kind of excited but also kinda worried. Would be a bit unfair to select one M.O.T.M. over a superb team performance, but if you twisted my arm it wold have to be Foss-ferous. The difference he's made down the right is little short of amazing. He's a quick, talented and brave footballer who doesn't act but just gets on with it after being clobbered.
We started off nervily and Trafford's Rivington Roulette with his pass-outs and his balloons into the stands were giving me palpitations, but after twenty minutes or so we started to play. It's easy to see why the Mackems are so high up the league because their build up pay and passing game are to be admired, but so was our defending which was never in trouble, and Charles is what we've been missing up front. I always liked Doyle, but this fellas is a class act. We've yet to see Saddlier and Dadi perform as they only had twenty minutes, but the future looks real promising. Dapo..well, he's Dapo...
All in all, well.."If I had words I'd make a day for you!"
And big thanks to the Couch master..

Now then, do I treat myself to a cup of tea, some biscuits and the Sunderland message boards?

By the second half after each goal it was just page after page of one-word profanities.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:41 pmNow then, do I treat myself to a cup of tea, some biscuits and the Sunderland message boards?

In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind

So far Fossey is the best player I’ve seen at this club for ten years.
Absolutely unbelievable. I think he’s a marvel. What’s his contract situation in the summer?
I’d sell anyone to keep him. He’s that good.

He has another year on his deal after this one, but Fulham are unlikely to keep him in the Prem, according to the buzz.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:45 pmSo far Fossey is the best player I’ve seen at this club for ten years.

If they let him go you'd imagine we'd have a shot; but he is ambitious. He wants to play Premier League football.

Could be this year’s Dapo, though - finds a new home he likes. We’ll see.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:52 pmHe has another year on his deal after this one, but Fulham are unlikely to keep him in the Prem, according to the buzz.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:45 pmSo far Fossey is the best player I’ve seen at this club for ten years.

Interesting. He needs a team that play wing backs. I don’t think he’s a full back and I suspect at a higher level he’d not have quite enough in a front three.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:52 pmHe has another year on his deal after this one, but Fulham are unlikely to keep him in the Prem, according to the buzz.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:45 pmSo far Fossey is the best player I’ve seen at this club for ten years.

But as a wing back he could I think play any level he wants.

You'll like this, Insane. Sunderland fans are complaining their side is too lightweight and couldn't cope with the pace and power of Bolton's side...

They are quite a big side or seem to be but it was the pace and intensity that did them.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 6:59 pmYou'll like this, Insane. Sunderland fans are complaining their side is too lightweight and couldn't cope with the pace and power of Bolton's side...
Our plan to win the ball back a little deeper then spring is working really well and the front two are just ideally suited to it.
The second goal is a thing of absolute beauty. It’s the absolute epitome of the counter punch.
We’ve gone more direct. And I think doing so means teams have to handle our front two and they are struggling to do so.
