1-1 draw. Given all that has happened, that's an excellent result.
The fans are going to get us into loads of trouble.

Well not the result we were after or the scenes we were after but lovely to see the lads playing with a great deal of spirit.
Ref made that game a bit of a laughing stock and then made even worse with both sets of fans making it worse.

Football. F*cking hell. I hope that point sends the shithouse bastards down. Unbelievable. Limbs.

We should be able to successfully appeal the Santos red.
It's a terrific display of character from the players to get a point.

I'll take the point after all that. There'll be mayhem in Morcambe now.

Shame it wasn't 0-0 but I'm happy with a point

I dunno what to say…amazing point but sounds embarrassing from fans. I haven’t seen anything and not there so I’ll take it as it comes but we haven’t heard the end. It’s Morecambe ffs!
Re: Famous Five go to the Seaside...V Morecambe away Sat. Feb 5th 3-0.clock
Hopefully it's a galvanising point that helps us push on. Feels like a missed opportunity to be honest, but given the refs decision and playing with 10 men it looks a good result.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 5:12 pmWe should be able to successfully appeal the Santos red.

Morecambe were the better team I thought. We never adjusted to the conditions well and were only undone by some suspect reffing. A good point all things considered but perhaps without the red card we might've come away with 3.

Bakayoko went running right over to those throwing out the abuse. Absolutely disgusting and they got exactly what they deserved. Well a point more than their behaviour deserved but there we go. The spirit to dig that out is more important than thumping Sunderland 6-0.

We'd have kept a clean sheet with 11 men. I'm convinced of that.Mar wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 5:15 pmHopefully it's a galvanising point that helps us push on. Feels like a missed opportunity to be honest, but given the refs decision and playing with 10 men it looks a good result.

Dunno if we'd have won, but suspect we'd have had a shot at it. I think the abuse galvanised us to right an injustice. Baka is usually calm and collected, but he gave it right to the Morecambe fans when he scored.
The togetherness in this group of players is great.

Up to 10th after Pompey conceded two late goals at Oxford.

You don't always deserve what you get;you don't always get what you deserve. Football.
Terrific, against the odds point. Well done the ten.

Play offs, for me, is winning all our home games and finding 7 points from the aways. This is one of those. Tidy result on an awful day.TonyDomingos wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 5:24 pmUp to 10th after Pompey conceded two late goals at Oxford.

Absolutely spirit was great.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 5:20 pmBakayoko went running right over to those throwing out the abuse. I don't think the take away from that game will be the behaviour of our fans...
There were a few giving Evatt and or the bench stick for ages. Not great but don't think there was anything huge in that. Fans got lead away and we carried on. A few minutes later something much bigger must have happened. Assume someone else came over. But Dapo looked animated (he hadn't paid much attention to the first lot). Reports pretty quick that it was racism. Obviously will see what comes out but it must be pretty bad for them to go off.
No defending our fans chucking stuff at their keeper which definitely happened before all this kicked off.
But I'm sympathetic to fans on the pitch when you score a 104' equaliser against a bunch of racists having had your captain wrongly sent off.
Up the mighty f*cking whites.
Up to the Santos red card looked like being a 0-0 or scrappy 1-0. Awful conditions and I thought we'd done ok in those. The bare minimum stand up and be hard to beat.
An absolute joke decision from the ref.

I would agree with you there. The ball that came across was badly dealt with by Aimson and Fossey who were having to deal with a change in shape. Without needing to change shape we wouldn't have had that problem.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 5:23 pmWe'd have kept a clean sheet with 11 men. I'm convinced of that.

Looked massively offside to me too. Could be the camera angle though.
