My view is this is showing the ineadequacies in midfield that exist against better sides and sadly we didn’t address in January. Morley nice on the ball. But you need more in the modern game.

Wouldn't be a Bolton match if we weren't sat here begrudging the ref. A switch to the left and we've got a clear attack when they went through Baka.
Just had a look at those Billy Bodin on Transfermarkt. He's in a great run of form after coming from nowhere, 6 goal involvements in the last 5 (incl. today).

There's a reason we were able to get him on the relative cheap. He's not going to be the ideal signing that would fix all our problems. I suspect its a case of the whole is better than the sum of its parts.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 3:36 pmMy view is this is showing the ineadequacies in midfield that exist against better sides and sadly we didn’t address in January. Plenty of time left in this game.

My nerves can't take much more and it is not even halfway.

We're slow to get back in defence.
Really costly losing possession up top.

Brilliant play by Johnston there. Outstanding defensive reading and then great linkup play.

Referee is going to cost us today.
Clearly doesn't like Charles or Baka.
Both getting man handled and upended all over the place. Giving nothing. The one before the end of the 1st half is a disgrace.

End to end game between 2 very good sides. 4 cracking goals. Happy when Lee came off for Dempsey. It gave us more bite in midfield as Oxford was dominating that area. We have more fire power on the bench which should enable us to finish strong. Looking forward to the second half.

First side I've seen to date who've managed to keep Charles quiet. Cracking game so far.

Awful defending at both ends and I'm betting IE is effing, jeffing and screaming his lungs out in the dressing room. So far, we've struggled to control the pace of the game and we seem to be in panic mode every time the ball comes forward.
Embarrassing from Charles at the end there, but we're just not getting the ball into his feet. Dapo could well be the difference here.

Twice I've been rumbled by Mrs Sonic about being on here instead of concentrating on the grandkids! M'eh, I just made another brew instead.
