Be happy with another loan for Trafford. I’d reserve judgement on anything permanent at this stage though.

Cheers gents. I'm very much on the 'get Trafford back on loan' bandwagon.

The other city loanee, chap who played for Portsmouth, has been nominated for league one player of the season. Soooo I can’t see him playing this level next year.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure City will want to test him at Championship level next season.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 9:42 pmThe other city loanee, chap who played for Portsmouth, has been nominated for league one player of the season. Soooo I can’t see him playing this level next year.

He's been linked with Premier league teams too, this week. No way he'll be playing L1 next year imo.brommers95 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 9:59 pmYeah, I’m pretty sure City will want to test him at Championship level next season.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 9:42 pmThe other city loanee, chap who played for Portsmouth, has been nominated for league one player of the season. If City were to loan us a keeper it'd be Trafford. They wouldn't want Bazunu to block his development path.
Re: Deal or no deal? - Summer 2022 Transfer gossip!
Looks like those that are originally out for a few weeks and likely to come back are no longer going to be seen this season. Evatt's come out and said Lee won't be seen again this season.

Aye, whilst I want us to turn up for remaining games, I wouldn't be rushing anyone back at this stage...

Can imagine there are a few lads doubting whether they will be at the club next season and not wanting to risk getting injured.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 11:13 amAye, whilst I want us to turn up for remaining games, I wouldn't be rushing anyone back at this stage...
Some of the players that want to make a name for themselves are probably worth a shout (Thomason and Senior for instance), similarly a send off for Baptiste is probably in order.
Can't see the likes of Tweedley, Gilks, Pettifer, Dixon or Henry getting a run out. Dixon would be the one i'd be looking towards given the loan situation of Trafford, but if we've got another loan for Trafford agreed for next season then I think sticking with Trafford is the way to go.

Yeah, but they're happy to pick up their wages, then they need to play if fit. If they go about it half assed, dock em. Baps does indeed deserve a send-off, sure he'll get one.Mar wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 11:24 amCan imagine there are a few lads doubting whether they will be at the club next season and not wanting to risk getting injured.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 11:13 amAye, whilst I want us to turn up for remaining games, I wouldn't be rushing anyone back at this stage...

It's a strange one, I can understand them taking it easy to see out the season for risk of getting injured. Any injury at this stage will mean a notable drop in potential earnings for those players. I'm sure Evatt would love 100% effort and anyone that gives him 100% in fixtures that don't count will be a good indicator as to whether or not they should stay with the squad.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 11:28 amYeah, but they're happy to pick up their wages, then they need to play if fit. It'll be tough to tell whose fully committed and I'm fairly certainly it'll be equally as hard for the players to know where they lie in Evatt's masterplan.
There's a few that will be interesting. Amaechi for example. I presume given the lack of appearances he'll be off in the summer but in his best interests he would likely be looking to put a show on for potential suitors and that would work well for us too.

I'd also assume Amaechi will be offski. The 2 likeliest off in the summer candidates, one is injured, so there's only really Dapo and tbf, he's not really settled at 10...

Agreed. I’m unconvinced by Dapo in the league above right now. He had a superb first half of the season. He was outstanding up front against Sunderland. But a lot of games he offers very little. And I feel he lacks a touch of pace that would allow him more easily to assault the championship level.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 12:09 pmI'd also assume Amaechi will be offski. He’s got the raw ability but it’s more that he needs to find a way to consistently harness it.

I’d like to see Keiron Lee before the end of the season - to help convince me he won’t spend half of next season injured.

Think Mar said Evatt spoke and he's out for the duration..officer_dibble wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 12:58 pmI’d like to see Keiron Lee before the end of the season - to help convince me he won’t spend half of next season injured.

Looks likely. I think he'd have had a chance of staying here if he'd been able to get fit, but he's barely had a kick all season.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 12:09 pmI'd also assume Amaechi will be offski. I imagine we'd take him permanently if he could be had for "value", as the coaches like him and his resale potential is very high; but he's unlikely to be "cheap" by our standards.

Not a judgement on his capability (as I've not seen much of him at all), I'd struggle to bring myself to part with hard earned...but could understand why those closer to him, might...
Re: Deal or no deal? - Summer 2022 Transfer gossip!
He's pointless if we're going 352. Defo a player in there in a front 3.

Aye yeah that’s what I was replying to - I get not pushing those with hamstrings to play but Lee hasn’t played since February (?) and it feels like he has missed a lot of the season. Again it’s pointless risking him but it’s a shame he can’t manage some minutes from the bench. His ability to stay fit enough for a season has to be part of the thinking this summer.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 1:04 pmThink Mar said Evatt spoke and he's out for the duration..officer_dibble wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 12:58 pmI’d like to see Keiron Lee before the end of the season - to help convince me he won’t spend half of next season injured.
