Yeah so Ghosty seems to have called the promotees for a decent start well enough. MCD (and Oxford) seem to be having a tough startDave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 5:03 pmMcDons lose 3-0 at Ipswich, who are now top, and drop to the bottom of the division.

I wrote on here that I expected McDons to drop off but I didn’t think they’d start this badly. Haven’t scored a league goal yet.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 5:08 pmYeah so Ghosty seems to have called the promotees for a decent start well enough. Good result in the end and happy with the point considering. Was it a red or more sh1te refereeing?

Ref was a knob but Rico, already on a (questionable) yellow, grappled with their lad.

Wow. Would that have been disallowed for a foul anyhow? Or was it two separate incidents?DJBlu wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 5:29 pmhttps://twitter.com/GCollingborn/status ... tn2uw&s=19

All forwards back in and all defenders grapple, happens all game, every week, every match. if defenders were penalised as harshly as Santos there would be six reds in every game. SKD would've been the world's best player.
Utter c*nt of a petty, power tripping ref. Should refuse to play any match with him in charge from now on whatever the cost.

So, a disallowed goal and your captain, manager and a trainer sent off. Not a bad start so far. Hope we're re-organised for the Tuesday visit of the bucket and spade brigade.

https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/2 ... port-vale/Honestly, we’ve all seen it back and it’s absolutely astonishing.
It just baffles me that we can be on the end of that much of a poor decision. To be honest, it was the fourth official that gave it and this is what really infuriates me because it’s the inconsistencies of when fourth officials get involved and when they don’t.
If you’re not sure, knowing that Rico’s already on a yellow card, you cannot make that decision. It’s so incorrect, it is just wrong and we’ve all seen it, we all know it’s wrong, but I’d rather not speak about that anymore to be honest and just speak about how satisfied and happy I am and proud of my team…
We are a good football team and we are open, we are expansive, we are attacking, we cause teams problems, but I am more proud of that today than I was Salford on Tuesday or Wycombe on Saturday because when you are that type of team, you get labelled a soft touch and you get labelled soft and flaky but there was none of that today.
If this team starts fighting like that the rest of the league has got problems, simple as that.

Presumably Evatt banned from the touch line Tuesday. Derek the dickhead will be loving that.

Players were heroes today. Felt like I was slowly cooking from the inside in that stand, what it must have been like playing in it, God alone knows.
Sad to hear some of our fans booing our own players taking the knee - idiots
Ref was a c*nt

Yeah. 14 heroes dug out the most unlikely of points.
Let down massively again by the captain. I’ve had enough. Too often he turns up and looks like that.

Just seen the second yellow and it’s unbelievably soft. Have the refs in League One not been given the same directive as those in the Prem? Because that would never be given in the top flight these days.

Give it a rest. Game 3 and unbeaten.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 6:38 pmYeah. 14 heroes dug out the most unlikely of points.

If we're in for a season of Santos bashing let us know now so we can prepare as it's going to get old fast.
Watch it over again tomorrow and look at how harsh the decisions were. Plenty of others on the pitch got away without the yellow.

He’ll santos bash after DecJohn! I dunno, end of the day he’s the captain of the club. Sounds like he’s lost his cool today and thinks the ref ‘had it on for him’. You have to remember we’re league 1 and he’s a league 1 player. If he has championship aspirations he needs to learn, fast.
Re: A Vale of tears in The Park? Port Vale away Sat 13th Aug.3-0 'clock.
Easy enough for the referee to give yellows for those incidents involving Santos. Bit of a joke though that he wasn't consistent throughout the match with it and that those yellows against Santos seemed a little targeted.
Others could've easily have been booked for worse. Two handed pushing into Santos' back prior to that makes it look like Santos was returning the favour so to speak. Silly of course, but to penalise one and not the other seems strange.
That's three games we've played now. One goal disallowed, one goal not given, and another comprehensive win. That should be 9 points.
