Bolton on top for 40 and looking comfortable. Santos absolutely woeful. After all of the recent errors, DO SOMETHING WITH IT.

1-0 down against the run of play. Pretty poor goal to concede and yet again Santos in the thick of it.
Missed header followed by Santos being outmuscled. More fuel for Insanes' criticism. Santos isn't doing himself many favours.
Should be a red that, clearly gone to kick Bradley's legs.

Anyone who thinks Santos is one of the best defenders in this league is utterly clueless. How many times do we have to suffer with this before Evatt sorts it out? He’s picking the wrong teams though. Kachunga up front is a joke.

Playing well and losing is a...bad habit.

Take your chances when on top - Kachunga doesn’t.

All in all, not a bad half in terms of performance. Final balls from Lee, Dion, and Iredale not quite there, while all have individually played well. Bradley: couple of flashes. Dempsey and Kachunga could largely be described as very much on the pitch. Let down, again, by poor defending after the high line being caught out. So frustrating, because Plymouth haven’t exactly excelled and are full of mistakes. Sorry for spamming as a noob. I’ve had some beers in the sun.

Let's ignore the continually piss poor heading at the back too. Johnstone caught under another one. Santos was garbage yes, but he's not a four man defence.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 3:45 pmAnyone who thinks Santos is one of the best defenders in this league is utterly clueless. Yep I don’t think we should ignore the other defensive shortcomings. I think Johnston has been much improved this season but the question marks remain. But santos is just costing us week after week and this myth he’s Beckenbauer reborn is infuriating. He’s miles offDJBlu wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 3:56 pmLet's ignore the continually piss poor heading at the back too. Johnstone caught under another one. the championship and wouldn’t get in Sheffield Wednesdays side for example. We need more consistency than he offers in there. Someone who is an 8/10 week in week out. If you look at promoter teams that’s what they have. You can’t play catch up in this league we found that out this season so there is no room for any more mistakes. None.

Two mistakes in a week by the Captain and in the latest, today, he could have cleared it. Maybe he thinks he can’t be dropped but Captains can be dropped as we’ve seen with Maguire recently. We need some competition in the CB spot, I hope Toal provides it.
Re: A distant drum...V Plymouth Argyle Sat 27th Aug. 3-o'clock.
Kachunga needs to leave, not up to it, definitely the new delfonso. Dempsey can follow him too absolutely useless player, rather have Thomason on. Santos urgghhh, he's a top quality defender playing terribly and costing us dearly how long do you back him to get back to team of the season form or drop him for Aimson? Feels like there's so many problems we're still shit on set pieces, we practice all week on a short passing game then come match day switch to hoof ball?? We seem incapable of scoring easy goals, they have to be Arsene Wenger-esqe. Thank feck for Connor Bradley.

Some fickle comments flying around here.
Had we scored from Charles' early run or the Lee effort it would've pained a completely different story. We are not clinical at the moment and our defensive errors are highlighting it.
Still quite happy with our squad but looking more and more likely we need something to freshen it up.
Worst thing is that our tempo and any speed attacking has just gone out of the game when we go one down. Both teams here are happy to keep hold of the ball.
There's nothing in this match and yet again we're 1-0 down through a sloppy mistake.

Long hopeless punts forward. Playing right into their hands. Their lad on the right is giving Irdale and Johnstone a right old time of it.

Kachunga still being on this pitch shows how far Evatt has to go as a manager. Honestly he has the players. He’s using them very very poorly.

This is desperate for a change. I can’t really remember the last shot we had.

64 minutes. Bolton shots on target - 0.
That isn't going to win many matches, and the response to defensive frailty is usually "yeah but look at out attack"

Should have changed three at half time. Honestly Evatt needs to stop trying to be so clever with his team selection and pick our best players for the league games. We are now chasing a game and haven’t scored a league goal for a fair old number of minutes.
The final ball is shocking all round.
