Tranmere (A) - Twisting my Mellon Man, Battle of Keith Hill survivors group

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

As our friend Bruce would put it: Cake and arse show.

(No reflection on BWFC, particularly - I imagine it will be a centralised feed)

7pm kickoff, remember, so we'll know the teams in just over 90 minutes.

Tranmere reached the final in 2021. Their two home attendances in last season's competition totalled 2,600.

Of which 0.31% will presumably have been on-stage members of Half Man Half Biscuit.

Apologies, but that's the only contribution I can think to add. :D

Friday night and the gates are low and it's raining
Bastard slip of a sub's ruined my weekend
Friday night and I just love complaining
And no, I haven't got anything better to do.

Don't get me started on the mighty HMHB. Almost good enough for me to forgive Tranmere for being Tranmere.

If I were a linesman
I would execute defenders who applauded my offsides.

Likewise, my friend 😁

Still waiting for him to work his oft-quoted ad-lib "I am a linesman at Notts County" into a lyric.

Apparently we made eight changes for each of this season's previous cup games against fourth-tier oppos. Wonder if it'll be more or fewer tonight?

7pm kick off is the absolute killer for me watching this - if there’s any streams would appreciate a wink and a nudge for the second half!

Or John. But Ilesy reckons Beck.
Dixon; Toal, Aimson, Johnston; Beck, Morley, Sheehan, John; Sadlier; Bod, Dapo.
Subs: Hutchinson, Isgrove, Stanley, Khumbeni, Carry, Tweedy, Toure

Might have to wait and see where they're all stood at kick-off with that selection :D

I make that 10 changes.

Given the night off: Jones, Santos, Iredale, Williams, Thomason, Dempsey, Lee, Kachunga. D

ebut for Beck, but also it’s the first non-friendly first-team sub spots this season for Hutchinson, Tweedley, Stanley and Carty - indeed the first call-ups at all for those last two.

Dixon,
Beck, Johnston, Aimson, Toal, John
Sheehan, Sadlier, Morley
Afolayan, Bodvarsson

Happy with that lineup and the bench. Plenty of respect given to this competition with that side.

Doesn't look like we've got options on the bench that are to be relied upon to change the game like we have in league matches, this is more of a lets see how they get on. Isgrove possibly the exception but again that might be a consideration with him overcoming an injury.

Can see Khumbeni and Carty getting a run out tonight off the bench. Not sure about the rest.
