Why is JDB not sliding in there?

Bod has to throw himself at that
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Well we’ve not conceded and I can only see us improving after the break. However, history tells us Evatt likes to wait fecking ages before making a change.

Thankfully 0-0. Missing an outlet. Some extremely poor passing.

Gethin Jones isn’t a wing back anymore than Aimson is a wing back. Neither is Iredale. The fact we have no wing backs in a system demanding one needs addressing. Their primary role is to act as outlets and neither Jones nor Iredale are good at that.
It’s frustrating because all summer it’s been a concern but to start a game like this is a bit of a head scratcher.
Has to be changed at half time.

Cool heads needed now. They might be a bit more frustrated than us (they really can't afford to lose) so if we've taken a bit of steam out of them and maybe get a ball-winner on (Dapo, Beck?) we can win this. Two goals needed as I reckonthe last fifteen will be frantic.
Come on Whites, it's there for the taking...

Iredale was poor on Saturday, especially in the 2nd half. I'm very surprised to see him playing.
May the bridges I burn light your way

Well. No point playing wing-backs tonight—for any attacking reason anyhow. Iredale (who has been poor/lumpy in my opinion for a number of games) and Jones have offered very little and I’m not sure that will change. Because that outlet is voided, the 3 CBs have fewer options and it looks to have destroyed any forward pass accuracy. Thomason, Dempsey, and Williams looking off the pace. Strikers: well…
Desperate for a change. Definitely of personnel, but potentially of formation.
It’s been as bad as I remember it being this season. I have a dreadful cold and was hoping this’d clear the sinuses. Now more blocked and snotty than before.

Lot's of successful passes between our centre backs, but our progressive passing has been wayward. Thomason and Johnston have both been good defensively, but I can't think of even one player that's looked good going the other way.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 8:42 pmWhoscored has our pass success at 80% as does iFollow....I'm wondering who they've got watching it for 'em...
Edit: Obvs it's off a syndicated feed, but really?

1 shot total. That's got to be a record? Or did we manage that with the kids?

Deffo a game where Evatt needs to earn his coin - if he can’t see that we need tactical tweaks I did pair. Don’t wait til we are 1-0 down with twenty to go.

Yeah - I get it's high because on non-progressive passes across the back - but I'm still stunned it's that highThe_Gun wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 8:45 pmLot's of successful passes between our centre backs, but our progressive passing has been wayward. I think we might need to remind IE, when City make no changes after being poor in a first half, they still have De Bruyne, Haaland, Cancelo, Foden, Silva, Gundogan in the team etc.
When we've been poor for 45 we still have no WB's playing WB. It's not the same.

That's not the first time, Aimson has rescued a ball from going out for a throw, to knock it straight back inside to one of their players...sometimes a throw to them is a better option.
