Beautiful, sunny morning in Gloucestershire this morning. Lots of friendly locals.

Could be wonderful mind games, but I'm thinking if Thommo's mug shot is on the Club twitter advert for the match, then we're not seeing Morley for Thommo.

Indeed. I think he's picked the team I thought he would (other than the uncertainty around John)

Which further strengthens my belief that summat's gone on.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 4:52 pmBeck was on the bench instead of John; with a full squad, we wouldn't have two LWBs on the bench. Still, some slide for Dec, who was our joint-top assister last season with 7.

Maybe one of those "slight knocks" that he seems to get quite a lot of...Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 2:04 pmWhich further strengthens my belief that summat's gone on.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 4:52 pmBeck was on the bench instead of John; with a full squad, we wouldn't have two LWBs on the bench. It looks like Owen Beck may again be unlucky with his choice of loans.

He’s played one game in half a year or something. I guess he needs minutes but we should probably be letting have some b team game time.
Playing two actual wing backs shows perhaps the team selection on Tuesday was just wrong. We all know it but I hope that John is more like early last season John than we’ve seen thus far this season.

He was hardly earth shattering v Tranmere...obviously only one game, some nice touches combined with a few that said "pub league" Nothing screamed play me. But obviously only 70 mins of one game...

He was shocking in that first half against Tranmere, but showed some signs of promise in the second half to give some insight for the next match he plays.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 2:23 pmHe was hardly earth shattering v Tranmere...obviously only one game, some nice touches combined with a few that said "pub league" Nothing screamed play me. Nice to see John back in the line up, meaning he's not completely out of contention. I suspect Beck is third choice in the pecking order at the minute, and it'll likely be rotating between John and Iredale with Beck getting minutes off the bench. Not that i'm particularly enamoured with how its looking so far.
Can't imagine Evatt wanted to change it too much given our decent defensive record.
Much happier with the lineup today than I was in midweek. Need a bit of fight in us today.

So we have wingbacks on a carpet with Lee in the middle.

Ref was blowing for a free kick there before the ball had reached the back, their keeper goes through Johnstone's head with his fists to clear the ball.
Took a right smash there.

Not a penalty but that’s never ever ever a foul on the keeper. Shocking refereeing.

Some decent play here. Need to capitalise.

Save Traf. Geth playing their lad onside by a mile.

Lazy lazy santos strikes again. Watched their striker run through as they broke and looked like he was worried about breaking into a trot. Awful.
