Not sure why Traf’s kicking it long. You imagine they’d settle for that.

I'm not sure it does, with him there, does it? Unless you've got Geth at either CB or LB (or Bradley at LB) all sub optimal!Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 7:55 pmIndeed - this XI, with Iredale rather than Johnston, affords that option. Which is interesting.
This is garbage. Hopefully a switch to a back 4 and then victory in the second half.

I meant a back four of Bradley-Jones-Rico-Iredale. Geth in the middle of a four isn’t tip-top ideal, but it’s not that bad. Compared to also having Johnston (not a left-back) at LB. Or arguably a CB in a two…Prufrock wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 8:15 pmI'm not sure it does, with him there, does it? I think Evatt’s keeping the option in hand. But we do also have five subs….

I have wondered whether Thomason was playing well or if he just looked good as a result of others not performing, sort of flattering to deceive. Seems to be a good cover for MJ and even better that he's from the youth team. So fingers crossed.

How many balls have been pulled back with no one there?
So frustrating.
So frustrating.

What's happened to Morley? He's been dreadful lately.
Re: Will Burton suit us? Bolton v Brewers, Tues 25-10-22. 7.45.
I remember when we signed Dempsey thinking that he was a rather delicate player, the sort that takes time with his passing to deliver 'measured' balls. Not sure he's lived up to what i'd expected of him.
Not a bad player by any means, just seemingly too wasteful with his final ball.
Similar to looking at Santos and thinking he'll be able to get a few set piece goals.

When Bradley cut inside on about 39 minutes, he ran into literally nine yellow shirts in a phalanx, less than 20 yards wide and 15 deep.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 8:11 pmWe get to the byline and pull it back to the edge, so that we can try and pass it through the very large bucket of concrete they've dropped in the area...
Might take a while, this. And get annoying.

Interesting - I thought he was more of a runner, more of a Nolan if you likeMar wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 8:25 pmI remember when we signed Dempsey thinking that he was a rather delicate player, the sort that takes time with his passing to deliver 'measured' balls. Morley more of a lock-picker, although he's gone off the boil a bit

Lovely play from us though, just need to score.

This is absolutely dreadful. Shake hands on a 0-0 now.

Positive first 15 minutes but zero shots on target again.

Yeah, and that's fine if that was the intention behind his signing. I suspect that may have been the case, but when he signed I was expecting something different. Perhaps thats as a result of how Evatt likes to play and how we were missing some creativity in midfield (think replacements for Darcy, Thomason and Brockbank).Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 8:29 pmInteresting - I thought he was more of a runner, more of a Nolan if you likeMar wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 8:25 pmI remember when we signed Dempsey thinking that he was a rather delicate player, the sort that takes time with his passing to deliver 'measured' balls. With the exception of MJ, I don't get the impression Evatt likes to use blunt instruments.
Timewasting by Burton Albion, pretty pathetic really. Glad we're not known for that.

For me that half was awful. Wrong system. Stands out like a sore thumb. Dapo LWB is a complete joke.
Need to switch to a 433.

You would hope he would change it, and get Sads on FFS! Else it’s ending 0-1, same old fecking story!
