We were causing them loads of problems prior to the red card so I don't think it's had that much impact on proceedings. Probably a case of us turning up and Barnsley not turning up.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 02, 2023 4:54 pmObviously the red card had a significant impact on proceedings, but I really like us having height in the defensive line, energy in midfield, and a centre forward partnership of a a bigger one and a smaller one.
We might've stumbled upon a winning combination.
Great win.

More of these predictions please, seems to help.
Great result. Just what we needed to take their position in the league.

Ahhh, gotcha.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 02, 2023 4:52 pm
The claim in the post I replied to was that Sadlier is more adept at the wing-back role than Jones.

A ropey second half for me especially first twenty but best performance of the season. Where did that come from? And can we do it a bit more please?

Oh aye. I'd have still fancied us.
Let's not forgrt we should've had a penalty minutes before the one we were given.

Shocking spell at the start of the 2nd half where the defence, particularly George Johnston, looked like they'd forgotten how to play football!
Chuffed that Dempsey settled the nerves with that great goal. Well deserved for his MotM performance.

Our third goal. Total football. The olés from our fans top it off!

Lovely stuff. I count 19 passes, but I may have missed one or two on the way.
Anyway, Evatt out, the clueless twunt.

Kachunga was pivotal in the build-up too. That 1-2 with Dempsey was superb.
Sonic, hope your wife is okay!

Lovely win. three goals away from home without reply against a top 6 rival. Never saw that one coming. Even with 10 men, Barnsley kept playing freely which is a credit to them. However, we know that we play better against sides that do that, so happy they did. Dempsey had a wonderful game, putting himself about throughout the game and scoring a wonderful team goal, MotM and perhaps his best game so far in a Bolton shirt. Looking forward to the couple signings to give the team that season second half push that Evatt has become famous for.

Cheers guys, She's been really ill since Aug and had to have major surgery on Christmas Eve. What should have been a five day stay in hospital tops, has turned in to she's still there. She has an infection that isn't shifting and the doctors don't know why. Coupled to the fact that she's in Stoke hospital and it's an hours drive each way for visiting, then todays result has been the perfect pick me up. That and the Pie Eaters getting shafted again
Anyway, back to the small matter of what a great match thread this has turned out to be
