I refer Sir to my earlier comment about the dearth of alternatives

A red for them. Too late to change anything methinks

On this performance, we are a goalscorer and a midfielder away from being rather good.

Another clean sheet at least, means we're becoming very difficult to beat!

Not being able to take chances is why we'll finish 3-6 not 1-2.
Very enjoyable that though. Nlundlu will watch that and get excited, I imagine.

Another gimmie for George...what a good game from us, to come away with 1 point is robbery. Best display I've seen from us. It's now January. COYWM...

Did OK. There's some promise and a long throw...as an aside Beck was excellent when he came on...

In that case I hope we let John go if all Evatt is going to do is slag him off in the press. Another squad place freed up.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 5:00 pmDid OK. There's some promise and a long throw...as an aside Beck was excellent when he came on...

Very good performance, notable performances from the entire back 5. Beck was exceptional when he came on. Agree with others we need a midfielder or 2 and a striker. I'm not convinced Morley is that good tbh, neither Dempsey or Charles that's where I'd be looking to improve.

Thought exactly the same, makes you wonder why they don't mix it up. If Aimson had been there and scored I think he would've put his name in the legend book for this week.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 4:58 pmAnother gimmie for George...what a good game from us, to come away with 1 point is robbery. A draw was more than acceptable at the start and to be disappointed must be seen as a positive as that was as good a 0-0 as I think we can ask for.
Toal will get the plaudits but Aaron Morley was brilliant. The lad is putting some serious miles into his boots. Some of the passing in the second half was exceptional.
Will Aimson is really giving Evatt something to think about as that back three are fast becoming unbreakable.
Absolutely gutted as the lads at the back gave us the platform to win that today and the attack failed to get the points.
Think I'm gonna have a brew now.

A game where an Eoin Doyle type off the bench might have got us the win.
Frustrating to only take a point, but the fact I can say that after a game against the league leaders speaks volumes about our performance.

Wow, what a game. Bolton team looking like Quality. Toal is an exceptional talent. Aimson a player transformed. They were both outstanding today. We now have good balance with Randall attacking down the left. Beck??? he's got something in his locker too. Unlucky not to get all 3 points.

Agree, mate. I don't think there was a bad performance from anyone. They've all given the alleged 110%. That's not the same as saying we don't need some better execution where it counts. If you didn't know football, you'd never have guessed which side was 15 points clear of the other...DJBlu wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 5:06 pmThought exactly the same, makes you wonder why they don't mix it up.
