Seen a lot of that on Twitter today. Absolute flyer of a left-sided player. Not seen the source for the rumour. Got a link?

So we're selling a left winger to replace him with a...........nother left winger? :conf: can't see the sense myself unless he'd be tried as a no10?
Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!

And the key to a result is a good :kettle:

It's bonkers. Start of next season, we'll be without a player in that position. If we need a player in that position, why are we collecting crumbs for Dapo? Why is he not playing?

I’m sure someone on the other forum made this one up.

Edit: Can’t find it now, but fairly certain when I was browsing the other place yesterday a poster speculated he would be a good signing because he’d scored loads for their youth team.

I'll see what the fella has to offer, but this would seem to be a bit bonkers. Edit (and imagine doing a zoon call all the way across Manchester! :D )

18 goals and 11 assists in 19 games, including 3 hattricks.

So, arguably a bit.

So a similar record to Samizadeh, or Connor Hall

Pru doesn't think Haaland would be any use to us at this point. So I think this fella's in the same bucket....my interest is piqued, albeit I'm not in the "excited" bracket just yet :-)

I’m not excited about much till I see them play and they do the business week in week out.

Never heard of this city guy but my gut tells me this is a Twitter invention as seems to be a lot of people pretending to be ‘itk’ running with this but nobody as yet who seems to really know what’s going on seems to have heard about it.

However for me it would fit more with the need to be patient and everything that’s been said than that dude from Wimbledon who if the asking price is £1M we won’t be signing as I’m reliably told we already tried to sign him and don’t value him close to that.

I do think it’s odd we are trying to sign left wingers for a system we don’t play anymore. How about a number 10 MR Evatt?

The "tried to sign him" part is definitely correct. Dunno about the rest. We were certainly put off by the asking price initially, as were others.

Only thing I can think of, if the rumour turns out to be true that is, is that Borges can play up top as a forward or as a no10 AS WELL AS a traditional left wing role. He could also be handy as a Randy back-up

Maybe if we got a LCB injury he could do a bit of that too!

Probably a better goalie than Dixon true. Mind I reckon that applies to most of the football league….

We could be guessing about how to fit in a player we're not even after. However, it's a Friday night and it's pissing it down on the moors so...

I suppose if Sadlier were leaving then we'd need another wing back option and suddenly William's versatility means he could also play on the right.

Or we've looked at him playing more as a forward recently and thought "That'll do."

I'd certainly not object to that kind of pace in attack. If our lot thought he could play there then cool.

No way would City be loaning us a player without having a very clear idea of how he would be used, and reasonable guarantees of game time. If this is more than internet bollocks, then presumably he's being signed as a striker.
