Can't argue with that. On first sight, that might make N'Lundulu more Bod than Dion, but we'll see.
Nlundulu is certainly on the Dad Bod side of things, but we'll be hoping his pace and dribbling ability mean he's just generally better. If he is it will have been amazing business. Regardless, we probably now need to look for another of the ilk.

Nlundulu came on as a direct replacement for Bod against Portsmouth and was impressive, strong and held the ball up well. Dapo replacement and another another up top and we'll be reet.

As long as it's not Grzegorz Rasiak.

And who are you playing against Accrington or indeed in a final?

We need two strikers and a number ten as a bare minimum.

Dad Bod replacement. Dapo replacement. And a number ten we have needed all season after never actually signing one to replace Sarce.

Some untested United kid might be brilliant. But can’t say I’m enthused. We need signings who are ready to make an impact in men’s football. I’d far rather be signing established players or at least more experienced loanees. This feels very risky letting Dapo go for someone with zero men’s experience.

It's on piece in what needs to be a jigsaw. I thought he looked decent against us in the cup, considering how little he got to go on.

Let’s hope he’s ready to do the job and fight those centre backs. But I have my doubts….hope to be wrong.

Are we genuinely after Shoretire though? Has it been reported anywhere resembling a respectable source? Or is this one of those "a mate of a mates milkman's sister's cousin said"?

The MEN is running with what I mentioned before, that Ten Hag wanted to look at him and will do again this coming summer.

Erik is an extremely good judge of young talent, so if he sees something in the kid I'm going to give him every chance.

I imagine we're bringing him in to compete with Lee for that 10 position. Would be surprised if he came in to play striker, but not shocked.

Now this makes sense. If the lad can play as a genuine no10 then I'd be expecting Lee to start games with Shola coming off the bench to keep that press of ours relentless.

Soooo am I glass half empty - some untested kid replacing our best all round centre forward and our player of the year (who FV have had their pants down for with that fee) or glass half full - exciting kid different to what we have rated by a strong manager, Dapo who wasn’t playing and Bod whose always bloody injured anyway.

I’d like another I have to say - someone like McGoldrick with experience who has the nous to be in the right places at the right times.

Evatt says in the article that he is now after another striker

https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/2 ... wanderers/

He also intimates that Shola is going to play more as a no10 than anything else.

He also mentions being after at least another two players but doesn't say if that includes said forward.

I think we should expect him to start plenty of games.

Utd will look at him in the summer to see if he can come into their own first team set up, having trained with the seniors quite a lot.

I don't think he's ready for that, but they will expect him to get plenty of chances in League One. I don't think we'd get him back next season unless we go up or he struggles, but I suspect Evatt would persevere with him even if he has a tough 6 months.

I'm not privy to what's gone on, but I do know how Utd feel about him as a player. One of Ten Hag's remits is to get players through from the youth team faster and Shoretire is one they now want a year ahead of the previous pathway plan. That meant a delay to his loan this season to work with the first team coaches, then a very careful selection of where he's gone.

Whether we are thrilled or not will vary, but Evatt will be. If he does well with this kid then Utd will look to send us others. Ten Hag wants a relationship with a local side. Being Utd's feeder club might be bad for the ego, but here we are.

The long term potential of someone’s else’s player is not relevant to us. Is he good enough, strong enough, savvy enough to play week in week out in a team looking to win promotion from league one? If yes then great. I’ve heard otherwise but if he is then great.

As such, Evatt has confirmed he will be looking to sign another striker – and could add another two players before the January deadline.

Is that 2 including a striker?

Given this kid is for number ten we need two strikers now. Minimum. And ideally that can play in the Mickey Mouse cup. So I’d ask who is available in the championship we can add?
