Not too Keen on Milton....Home to M.K.Dons, Tues 11th Feb. 7-45.

[I was thinking the same thing Insane. He only played 205 minutes for Huddersfield over four months, another 90 tomorrow will be tough for him. How do you shuffle it around though? Jones to RCB, shift Toal to LCB and put Isgrove at RWB?
Other side of it is that younger players tend to recover more quickly if all he was feeling was bad cramp.

If Mbete isn't up to it then the natural move recently has been to put Jones in for Mbete and Williams down the right.

Not convinced I'd want to drop Izzy in against MK pace for his first start back.

Preferred team for me would be: Traf, Toal, Santos, Mbete, Jones, Morley, Dempsey, Williams, Shoretire, Charles and Vik.

We can't really be sure who is and isn't feeling it, but I think Williams needs a start if possible and I'd like to see Vik get 60-70 minutes at home to show us what he's about.
That last bit, I thought John did nowt majorly wrong at weekend and a couple of decent attacks in the first half (and TBF I haven't reached any sort of judgement regarding Williams yet :-) )

John was always going to be fine against Posh, because he'd see it as a game worth his time. The test for him will be games like Vale.

I'd not drop John because he played badly, I just think Williams needs minutes now. If John starts I'd not mind seeing Williams down the right. We've signed Williams to make an impact and need to get him fully fit.

Even from numerous video clips/highlights etc, we're playing big league football now and anything less looks second rate. Trouble is, beating Bolton has far more impact than it once did and brings out the best (and sometimes worst) in our opponents. Even before the penalty, the build-up to our second goal against the Posh was classy. I'm betting more than just Darren Fergusson was sitting up straighter and he's probably still wondering what happened. More of this.... :oyea:

Suspect Elias Kachunga is free from suspension for this. Can't imagine that he'd be getting a starting spot against Wycombe given how well we performed last match but it may be that Kacha gets a run out tomorrow. Chance to put things right.

Other thing to be mindful of is half an eye on Accrington next week. We will need Lee for example to play there. Charles too obviously. In fact we are basically down to the bare bones for that game with only Jerome and Mbete available from the new guys.

Kachunga can come on to give the good players a rest if we're winning, but preferably not in any other circumstances.
Every single factor depends on that statement. If we are, then we can play; if not, then we'll need our big guns out there. It's a job to be done and no prizes for being second. We're not foolish enough to dismiss any team in this league, so when the bell rings, go for the cigar and ignore the goldfish. Time then, for COME ON YOU WHITES..!!

If we're working on the basis that Lee can only play once a week now, I'd assume Wycombe will be where he's directed, and he'll be rested tonight and next Tuesday. Much as I want us to win the Papa John's, I'm pretty sure Evatt will prioritise the league.

I think we might be seeing Thomo back in for Accy. Agree that Lee is far more important to us in the league. I would easily forgo a trip to Wembley for an automatic promotion spot.

Factor in that losing a semi final where our fans have been singing about Wembley for weeks is going to be a hit on that feel good factor, momentum and well a lot of things. Evatt will also really fancy that cup because promotion is very much still a ‘long shot’ or at least not odds on.

In the league we have shoretire, available, Thomason returning and Victor who can all play. Shola and Vic can feature in the cup which means you have a choice probably of playing Dempsey or Kachunga in the Lee role at Accy if not Kieran himself. We are in danger of running Dempsey and Morley too hard too.

Which means next couple of weeks need careful selections.

My bet is Lee will be asked to play at Wycombe and Accy as Accy is Wednesday it gives him an extra day and presumably he would be benched for PV at home with Shola available.

Thomason might make his return at Accy to rest Dempsey.

We're possibly 11, maybe 12 points off the top 2 if the worst case scenario plays out. We've got room for error in the playoff chase but our momentum and feel good factor should help massively in terms of making the club feel like its heading in the right direction.

Strongest side for Accrington Stanley, get to a final and give the fans something to cheer about going into the rest of the season.

Well tonight is another important match and another big three points on offer. I'm going to be missing tonight as the wife was brought back into hospital last night so Abdoulayes Twin will have to carry on the brew duties with his wonderful coffee maker. I'd rate the Telford A&E drinks machine as having to rely on a one handed Dixon in goal for the rest of the season.

Yeah a defeat at Wycombe wouldn't help the maths. One game at a time for me, with an overall plan, adapted as needs must.

Bad news. My coffee machine isn't much use for evening matches. We close at 18:30 and I'm not staying late all evening drinking coffee on my own! My home machine is very much Izzy like. Dependable, likeable, and unlikely to make much of a difference to our aspirations :(

I wonder if he won't try to get Keiran to go again for an hour tonight and rest him Saturday. Agree with strongest available team for Accy.

Tonight will be a lot more of a chess match and our press is really important, and Lee is so important to that. Wycombe it matters less as there isn't usually much to press and you might then fancy Shoretire to try to unlock them.
All depends on how Lee pulled up after Saturday. It's not like he's 37 though, and he usually gets his half hour rest (only 12 mins on sat though).

Look after the wife as priority mate and we'll all be cheering for you. My own wife's not long out of dock from a heart attack so I know how you feel. A win for the White and good news for you is on the cards. Come on you Wives... :D

iFollow is working again on the website.

If I'm honest, the fact they charge a tenner for 25fps 720p is a disgrace. If the club doesn't double the framerate at least then it'll be a shame. I'd pay more for 1080p 50fps.

Interesting. I'm not sure I'd pay more but I wonder if the EFL is hampered by having to run so many different feeds simultaneously. Wouldn't be an issue for us as a solo concern.

Can we just walk away from iFollow? Are broadcast rights not a league-wide thing?

The current deal expires at the end of this season. I would imagine the club can make more out of it as the profits are, I believe, currently distributed evenly throughout the league.

Each club is within its rights to create their own channel. There are a fair few that do so already, Peterborough United being one. I do believe they have to open up access to the live feed for away teams that visit. Like us at the weekend, iFollow badged up the feed from Peterborough.
