Another fine mess Stanley...Away at Accrington in the Cup. Wed 22-Feb. 8-O'clock.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Evatt said of tomorrow, "Carp Diem"...Carp Day. Presumably he means a day on which to complain about refereeing decisions and generally moan. Looking forward to it. Sounds like a day every Bolton fan can embrace.
I was hoping more for carpe jugulum tbf...

I'd fancy us to beat Accy over the Unseen Academicals.

Especially if the Librarian was officiating.

Too many banana skins when he's involved, for sure.

We’re supporting Chelters in the shootout, yeah?

Wouldn’t they take feck all to Wembley and make the final a bit of a dud, though?

You know that’s a good point. Hmmm I’m conflicted now. A two thirds empty Wembley is not that attractive a proposition.

Well, Plymouth just about made it past their "lesser" opponent. Our turn to live up to expectations.

I'm glad there was a pitch invasion, it shows they are up for it. I'd rather have an easier game, but if we make the final it should be a cracker.

And thus dawns the day of the great match:

Accrington, still proudly Lancashire. is near enough to us not to split hairs over weather forecasts, so what you see is what you get. Bright and breezy with a bit of wet thrown in.

Talk on B.N is of penalty practise, which only a hari-kari fan would want in their wildest fantasy, but I suppose it could easily happen. No extra-time if the scores are level, just the deadly shoot out. Dion will certainly get one, but who else? Sense says Morley and Stanley, maybe John, maybe even Kachunga, but it's just a guessing game with nerve as important as shooting. Let's just hope we've won before that happens. COME ON YOU WHITES..... :oyea: :oyea:
Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?

Woke up with the feeling that Mbete will play a big part tonight. Hopefully in a good way.
