Evatt booked for saying what we're all thinking. Bit of a rarity that now with Evatt not being as vocal as before. Seems a bit deserved today though.
We're lucky to be 0-0. Their press is definitely causing us a ton of problems.

feck off referee you cheating c*nt.
Got to hope it stays 0-0 for as long as possible as you would like to think that they can't keep this press up for all the game.
Think Bradley needs dropping as he's offering less every game.
Trafford, liability tonight.

Tbh we are lucky to still be in this game. Been absolutely battered. Second best all over.

Incredibly poor that. I’d have Bradley off at HT.

45 minute game. Chance to change things.

Need to start getting shots off a bit quicker. Feel like we're trying to be a little bit too cute with it.

Some awful decision making all half. Lucky to get in at 0-0

Shoretire needs to come off, offers nothing whatsoever.

Lot going on when this flashed past. But yeah they've been really good on the press. As poor as we've looked, it's 95% how good they've pressed...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 8:09 pmImpressed by Pompey’s press. Last season they were the division’s hardest pressers - this season it’s us, but they seem more on it tonight than us.

Declan John has been the stand out from that half and he let the ball run out of play.

We've got into some good positions, but been too indecisive. Whilst we're probably lucky to be level at the break, I do think we'll come out better in the second half, and I saw enough to make me think we can score a goal.

Trafford’s made several errors; Lee’s been poor by his standards (apart from that wonderful this-way-that-way for Shoretire’s backheel); Bradley’s been both too much and too little. Charles’s link-up hasn’t been there, but in fairness, it’s broken down with him after some ultra-quick and reflexive attacking play.
Whatever’s up, it’s not working. They’re first to everything. And there’s no way out with clearances and goal kicks all over the place.
Feel like a big lad up-front might help, but that doesn’t mean lumping it would work either. Need a wake-up (hopefully by Evatt—not a net rustling).

In my opinion we are missing an MJ Williams for games like this. Someone with some presence in midfield. We are too lightweight in there and consequently we are unable to win second balls or really set up counter presses.

Maybe. MJ could help block off that area in front of the back three but also start winning it back.jmjhb wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 8:46 pmA Thomason maybe?BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 8:45 pmIn my opinion we are missing an MJ Williams for games like this. Derby beating Cheltenham 1-0 and looking at the stats, the beaten semi-finalists have been in no shape to come back.
