As hard as he worked off the ball, 2 goals in almost 3000 league minutes was obviously not good enough. Frees up about £4k a week in wages which is a decent chunk of change to work with at this level.

Agreed Brommers. Wouldn't have minded him staying as a squaddie (unlikely at the sort of wage you're mentioning), but not surprised he's gone either. Aside from his 2 goals in 3000 league minutes, he did of course have a decent impact on our PJT season and in amongst it was subject to some awful abuse. Good luck to Kacha in his next move...

Yeah. Least surprising thing.

He won a redemption with his semi final goal, Wembley performance and goal there.

But he wasn't really good enough for a top end of league one team - at least not the way we play. I could see him maybe working in a more direct team.

One down. Could be an interesting day ahead. I have no beef with Kacha. He always worked hard but he was lacking goals and ultimately that's what a striker is judged on. Wish him and his family well.

Yeah. 100% agree with the footballing decision.

I always liked him, and wish him well. Still get shivers from that "Kacha, you f*cking deserve that" video.

But we need better, especially at that wedge.

Personally (in ignorance) Kacha my sort of player. Sorry he's gone. Best of luck to him.

I'm not his greatest fan as a footballer, but he's a hard worker and I wish him best for the future.

MJ will be an interesting one. I think the club will offer him a new contract, but I reckon he could well reject it in pursuit of a starting gig elsewhere.

My understanding is that Kacha was part of a group that dragged standards up in training from the day he arrived. I rated him more on the pitch than most did, but I think he's probably contributed quite a bit to our general progress.

We may lose a number of "good pros" this summer and that's something to note. Hopefully any positive impact he's had on that side of things has stuck with the younger ones.

Cheers Bertie - keep watching the skies for more player reactions…

Good luck to him. Right decision I think AS LONG AS he’s replaced with better.

Birmingham have released Jordan Graham. Tore League One up for Gillingham and had something like 20 goal contributions in all competitions. I believe he was also top of the "completed crosses" league that season too. He played as a winger for Gills, but can operate as a wing back on either flank. Still only 28.

Would be a very similar profile to Randy and one that might tempt Evatt.

Troy Deeney is one of six first-team players released by BIRMINGHAM. The Blues captain had been offered a new deal in March but will depart St Andrew's after two seasons, in which he scored 11 goals in 56 appearances.

Former skipper Harlee Dean is also among those going, having played his 200th game for the club in the final-day defeat by Sheffield United

Maxime Colin, George Friend, Jordan Graham and Kevin Long are also leaving.

Birmingham have taken up options to extend the contracts of Oliver Basey, Rico Browne, Tate Campbell, Tommy Fogarty, Nico Gordon, Marcel Oakley and Kieran Wakefield.

Krystian Bielik, Hannibal Mejbri, Reda Khadra, Dion Sanderson, Auston Trusty have all returned to their parent clubs - Derby County, Manchester United, Brighton, Wolves and Arsenal respectively - following loan spells.

Isgrove gone as well. He did well for us in League Two, but injuries have done for him of late, and he’s probably also not good enough for where we want to be.

Hope he gets fixed up somewhere decent.

Wigan and Ipswich have announced their retained lists. Not loads to go at for us I would have thought, but two players who've been mentioned previously in this thread by DSB have been released:

- Ryan Nyambe (25, RCB/RB/RWB) released from Wigan would be a very ambitious signing as he's a solid Championship player (most likely has a Championship offer lined up, hence why he's been 'released')
- Joel Coleman (27, GK) could be a decent option for a no.2 goalkeeper.

Fkn hell NOT NOW, OTHER CLUBS
WIGAN captain Tendayi Darikwa is one of six senior players who will leave this summer. Defenders Steven Caulker, Joe Bennett and Ryan Nyambe and midfielders Jordan Cousins and Gwion Edwards also exit.

Loanees Omar Rekik, Martin Kelly, Miguel Azeez, Christ Tiehi, Danel Sinani and Ashley Fletcher all return to their respective parent clubs.
.
IPSWICH:
Joel Coleman, Richard Keogh, Matt Penney and Kane Vincent-Young will all depart Portman Road when their respective contracts expire this summer.

Contract offers have been made to first-team duo Sone Aluko and Massimo Luongo, as well as youngster Tawanda Chirewa.

Loan players George Hirst and Tyreece John-Jules have returned to their respective parent clubs, Leicester City and Arsenal.

Elsewhere, 10 Academy players will depart Town this summer.

Darikwa is an interesting one, if Evatt decided he wanted more experience at the back.

Had a play-off push at Champ level and got promoted from L1 with Wigan.

Was at Chesterfield with Evatt. 31 isn't old for a centre back. Also his reputation as a pro is exceptional.

No surprises that Lee and Dixon have been released as well. Happy that MJ has an extra year as he's proved his versatility but I imagine Evatt would still want an upgrade. Same goes for Sheehan.

Speaking of West Brom, all talk is that Kane Wilson has been told he is out at Bristol City this summer - either permanently or on loan.

Yes, please.
