Great session for us there. I did risk a peek at the Met Office....There are "chances" over the next three days...tomorrow there's between a 40% and 10% chance of rain (hour by hour) - Saturday much higher, Sunday back down to 40%..I guess this might come down to "how much"...
BBC Forecast has Saturday and Sunday as washouts - 70% all day from start to finish - I doubt it will be wrong enough to allow any significant play sadly.

I will stop trying to be positive...As I said, I suspect it might be as much "how much rain" alongside when it happens.

Keep going for me. Get the runs we need now while the batting is good. Then look at the weather tomorrow.

This innings by Crawley has to go down as one of the best you will ever see. Absolutely the best innings of this series.

Yeah - we've had a bit of a treat there. I thought one of the best stats was it was only slightly slower to his ton that ITB in 1981...

Incredible for an opener really.

That's a sickener for Joe, but don't mind seeing some uneven bounce!

I'm not sure given the forecast, whether the "just get in front" and declare, would work quite the same as if we had three full days left. Commentary team have just suggested that it might not be wash out on Sunday. So maybe a three innings match would suit us better.

There have also been a few keeping very low the last couple of hours, including the one that just got Rooty.

Realistically it's England v Australia with us having a six wicket and 67 runs start. World champs or no we should walk this if we can discount the weather.....but then again, we can't do that, can we? . We need to make those extra wickets count because bowling is la Donna Imobile. Get amongst them and build up a total and then sort em out.

As ever, Que Sera... :oyea:

Wickets don't mean too much right now as long as we don't give them away cheaply. Runs are critical, a whole pile of them

Really surprised at Oz not taking the new ball. The aren't getting far with the old one, so what's to lose?

I suspect because it travels quicker to the ropes. They're in defensive mode, they don't want us scoring quickly and they look to be backing the weather forecast of a two day wash-out...

Taken new ball now, maybe they wanted a 30 minute dart with it pre-Lunch and it's still pretty new after, because at the rate they're getting through overs, it's probably going to be 2 overs old by the time we get to lunch....
