The pattern is we struggle when teams step onto our midfield.

Vic doing far too much again. Close control not good enough for that. Totally unnecessary.

Adeboyejo is not a midfielder. He had ample time to make a pass there and instead lost it cheaply.

Ffs. That’s entirely on Vic.
3 times he could've passed it, instead tip tap to each foot.

That said the defence and midfield were slow to close down the lad who struck it sweetly into the top corner.

Yes but they’ve stepped right onto the midfield three so the time and space we enjoyed first half is no longer there.

Thomason just isn’t quick enough to cover ground like that. It’s not really his fault tbh.

We're missing some imposition here. It's like Wycombe have been allowed to up their tempo without us matching. Nip it in the bud!

Sheehans job in front of back three to do that stuff surely…..

Not sure i'd agree. IIRC theres three CB's all in a similar position holding their ground and not coming out to it quick enough. Almost as if tactically we're short handed just outside our own box.

Does feel like that midfield is wilting a bit - an MJ type would be welcome right now…

Sloppy now. Dion’s touch, Maghoma’s pass, short passbacks. Second balls.

This is a disgrace.

15 minutes of absolute nervous bollocks.

It’s the same every time. When a team is brave enough to step up onto our midfield we collapse.

For me we need, for want of a better description a Roy Keane type in there, for these situations. One who will kick the opposition and our own players to get a response and fire us up. But also just for some backbone.

It’s a thousand times better than the second half Saturday.

I think a rough tackler in midfield would do us good. Someone who could tackle in a manner that made them struggle throughout the game should they start getting a foothold in the game. Campo had it in him, tackle strong but not malicious.

Just got in. Are we good, bad, shite or just our usual Jekyll & Hyde? :conf:
Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!

And the key to a result is a good :kettle:
