In other news, Aaron Collin's barber is trying some David Copperfield shit with that hairline.

The only way I can describe it is "Lego hair on a playmobile man."

Eric Yoro has gone to Cliftonville on loan.
Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!

And the key to a result is a good :kettle:

Glad to get Collins over the line now. Feels like a big signing for this level and hopefully can give us a lift, starting this weekend!!

Wonder who that is? I was glad to see Iles’ reaction to Reece James was the same as mine…

The positive spin on deciding they need a defender in that they've had a scare sending two lads for scans and the board have greenlit not taking the risk.

The negative would of course be that someone is actually injured after all.

There has been Scottish and League One interest in Mattie Pollock, who would be an ideal Santos stand-in.

Someone on twitter suggested Caleb Taylor, who is also apparently a wanted man.

How quickly can we fly Sykes in from Belgium?

One of them must me an issue.

Rico, Toal and or Forrester (worse than anticipated?)

Could really do with Jones allowing Son do the Waltzing Matilda and get on that plane in a couple of days.

Stoke's Steven Schumacher has said he'll look to free up squad places by sending people on loan. High targhet but I wonder if that could include Ben Wilmot, who's a couple of weeks back from injury – although he played the full 90 at the weekend, which suggests they might want him. He was after all their POTY last season despite missing the last month with injury. He's a former midfielder (which would please IE) but 6ft2 (which might be enough to please BWFCi). It's low probability but I wouldn't have predicted Calvin Ramsay either...

Ciaran Clark is also still at Stoke. He's 34 now.

More likely is a youngster but Lewis Macari, with whom we were linked last season, has now joined Notts County on a permanent.

Wouldn't be a loan though, if we believe Marc's intel.

Believe Watford have struggled to find him a suitable route out and there's been a bit of a barny; but I agree it's unlikely to be him. More's the pity.

Hopefully the kid gets himself a move to Aberdeen where he's appreciated. So much potential.

Looking up the road at PNE, there's Patrick Bauer, who's definitely out of favour and is definitely a BWFCi type - 6ft4 and dominant. Last six months of contract. Seemed to be headed to Belgium but that's gone a bit quiet.

Or we could ask to borrow Jack Whatmough. He's not really settled into the team and it would further annoy Wigan fans.

Sorry, my bad - I got confused and thought he was on a free. It's possible they could loan him out. Be funny to have Jamie's lad here for a bit more positive promotion juju :D

The link was not lost on me and the kid would be gold at this level.

Jamie's other lad has been bouncing around non-league for a while, but Mattie is a proper player.

I spotted Caleb Taylor on twitter a moment ago and I'm thinking is that not a risk? Spent last season on Loan at Cheltenham and hasn't had a game this season thus far?

edit:

23 minutes of Championship football this season.

Nixon is reporting it’s Taylor from WBA.

I'd be guessing that Toal is potentially injured. Shame as I wanted him to go through that prick Cosgrove.

I know absolutely the square root of nowt about him but played for Cheltenham at this level for 45 league games last season.

Isn’t that pretty much what we’d expect a best case scenario on loan? Centre half who has experience at this level on loan?

I suspect it’s more likely to pay off than some premiership kid who has never marked a man before.
