It's known in the world as not too bad news.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 3:19 pmSo Santos has a tear and will get two weeks off at least to try and recover. Eoin is playing through an unnamed injury that isn’t tendinopathy and Forrester returns to training tomorrow.
Talk about a mixed bag of news. But overall doesn’t seem as bad as maybe we might have feared. Two centre halves carrying injuries through run in though I guess has promoted move for Taylor.

Good question, I'd assume Toal as he's the more senior player, knows the system etc. Taylor probably more comfortable as the outside CB in a three for now as that's where he spent the majority of his time at Cheltenham, splitting his time between both RCB and LCB.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 3:24 pmNow we know santos is out who gets central berth? Toal or Taylor?brommers95 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 3:22 pmI’d be very happy if we do get Caleb Taylor on loan (ignoring the fact it probably means either Rico or Eoin are out injured)
He’s very similar in playing style and physical attributes to Toal to be honest. Tall and gangly but deceptively strong and quick. Much like Toal, Taylor isn’t terrible on the ball but it’s an area of improvement for him.
Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.
Must be Toal, right? I don't think they'd stick a newbie straight into the central role, which in our system is more important and complex than the wide CBs.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 3:24 pmNow we know santos is out who gets central berth? Partly depends whether we trust the youngster and partly whether CCB or RCB is better for Toal’s injury. RCB is busier but CCB as last man requires more sudden sprints, I’d sayBWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 3:24 pmNow we know santos is out who gets central berth? Toal or Taylor?

Ta that sounds ideal.brommers95 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 3:28 pmGood question, I'd assume Toal as he's the more senior player, knows the system etc. Could be better, could be worse. Losing Rico for any length of time is a blow - he's one of the best in this league. But giving him a couple of weeks to recover (is that two weeks from Tuesday gone, or two weeks from now) should hopefully mitigate.
Similarly, not great that we're potentially asking Toal to play with a minor injury, but needs must. Just hope it doesn't go ping.
Great that Forrester is on the way back though. He's impressed me. And I see no reason he couldn't cover the central defender role, as well as the wide centre back.

It might weirdly be a good thing. It's forced them to act and they've done so in a very cost-effective manner. It could be that 2 weeks from now we're a lot stronger than we'd otherwise have been.truewhite15 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 3:35 pmCould be better, could be worse. Obviously if it ends up needing surgery that goes out of the window.

If it’s a tweet, make sure it says “twitter.com” not “x.com” - and if there’s a question mark in the URL, remove that and everything after it.DJBlu wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 3:27 pmhowto.pngKeyserSoze wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 3:25 pmNew signing imminent. Taylor's actually mixed race.
His mum's white and his dad is a Brachiosaurus.

Iles has posted that Taylor will play centrally while Rico is out but can then play either of the wide berths - according to IE!

In two weeks we could potentially be top with 2 games in hand and the following defenders to choose from
Jones, Iredale, Santos, JDC, Forrester, Taylor, Toal, Ashworth, Ogbeta and Ramsay.
No Cup distractions. Will it be enough? Who knows but it's probably going to be one fecking ride!
COYWM!!!!
