Welcome to Bolton. Wrexham (h), 18/08, 3pm

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Can't really afford to drop points at home to promoted sides, moneybags aside. Let's hope we find a way through.

Very early days and he's not the sort to be flashy.

He's made a lot of runs that nobody has found.

Got 0-1 written all over it I’m afraid without some changes

Would have thought a sub or two would have been made by now. A little bit too much like last season for my liking.

fecking Dacres-Cogley again. He’s not worked on his crossing this pre season for sure.
What a player he would be if he managed to sort out his crossing. So many times in decent positions and no end product.

Final third ball today hasn't been great from out wide.

Great play from Tomo and Charles with that shot. Good save too, more of that please.
I suppose the answer to that is he wouldn’t be playing in league one. But this system needs more out of that flank.
Definitely. I'm a big fan of JDC, if he can't cross it get him to pass it to someone who can. JDC does the rest of the job really well. Seems like its a missing opportunity on that right side.

Maybe Charles out wide instead and Adeboyejo in the middle might give us a different set of questions.

Santos' ever so cool defending is looking like he'll be a liability. Seems like he's letting the defender get close so he can taunt the opposition when he shrugs them away. Just because he can do that, doesn't mean he should be doing that.

Closest we’ve come - got to improve those set pieces for games like these.

Another garbage cross. We’ve been really poor from wide positions.

Charles coming off. Decent performance from him. Suspect that's mainly to keep Ade central.

Haven't seen enough of McAtee to think he should still be on the pitch today. Arfield time.

Lets hope the transfer window makes the difference for us in games like this.

Bit of a pessimistic post and this will all change if we score but:

Still 15 minutes left, but it's far too reminiscent of last season. With these late substitutions, has Evatt really learnt? I suspect not.

Home against promoted sides, you've really got to get 3 points. Feels like we're just marginally short, yet again.

Really disappointing performance against a fairly limited side thus far.

Feels like the knives are getting sharpened by the Evatt out brigade. Always going to be difficult this match.

It's exactly the same as last season at the minute. Maybe we're playing them at the wrong time with our new signings. Always going to be difficult with Parkinson's team as opposition.

I'd like to see us working the keeper with a long shot or two from midfield. Sheehan seems way too shot shy for my liking that its so easy to read. Put a shot in man, then when the defenders next closing the shot down you can do the usual one two.

Not a good game.

Evatt seems angry with the ref.

I'd say dog turd but.... we didn't lose. All the Evatt out etc if I was Wrexham fan I'd be delighted. I'm not but I'm happy we didn't lose.

Let it click. Let it click.

Well positively we defended well enough against a team that got better second half.
But yeah it’s just #lastseasonsproblems

Best thing I can say is that we must be a work In progress
