Down in The Valley, something stirred. V Charlton Athletic away Sat Aug 24th 3-0 'clock.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Probably one of the worst displays I’ve seen under Evatt this. So many individual errors.

Won one,
Drawn one,
Lost one.

We're +1 on last season as it stands.

9 points from 3 games last season.
5 points from 3 in 2022/23.
5 points from 3 in 2021/22.

Our 4 from 3 so early on doesn't bode well.

We won first three last season, given we are stuffed with soft shirkers like Sheehan and santos who can’t perform when it’s tough and we are struggling in August sunshine it doesn’t bode well for the November and December rain and cold and boggy pitches.

Our Lancastrian neighbours' decision for change over the past 2 weeks seems to have paid immediate dividends. Just saying...

Fkin hell ref. Never a foul. Unfortunate contact but not a foul. Matete booked for protesting.

Would be nice if we had a shot. We had a nice passage of play passing then Collins intercepts the final ball. We're guilty of overplaying.

Evatt has taken us as far as he can, hasn’t he?

He’ll get time but fans will turn quickly this season I am convinced of that. Reebok could start to become a pretty grim atmosphere quickly which he won’t like.

I'm inclined to say yes.

Plan A last season wasn't the issue. It was the response when it wasn't working that was the issue.

This Plan A 2.0 is just far less effective, and although he seems a little more receptive to changing things this season, it doesn't appear to have had any effect either.

Possibly the worst game for a while.

Bring this home and it's going to be awful being a fan of this team again.

At this rate, this experiment will be over by October. And honestly I'll breathe a sigh of relief.
Evatt will be gone by the end of Sept, he should have gone immediately after Wembley and given the club time to bring in a replacement in the summer.

His plan A 2.0 is worse than his Plan A....where is the intensity, passion & desire ? so many half hearted players another abysmal, pathetic, toothless performance.

Vic with his contribution. Turning into midfield with 2 players on him.

Well played Charlton. Getting your players in a system that works and grinding out the results.

Bolton 434 passes to Charltons 259.

No matter how good we are at passing, if you pass and pass without doing anything with it, then you'll end up losing the ball.

Fkin 2-0 in our happy hunting ground. Disgusting performance.

Players and manager should hang their head in shame. I'm struggling to think of anyone who can come away from this match with their head held high.

They’ve let him recruit for this ‘plan’ as well, which is poor.

For everything FV are, they are not football people - they've been taken in by Evatt's tactical bullshit like many fans have.

Credit to Charlton, they've done a good job on us. Don't think they've been fully at the races themselves, but we've been incredibly poor.

We're essentially playing a ring formation with two in the middle.

I'm put all of them out again on Tuesday. No hiding, give them a chance to sort it out.
