Where the Whites are concerned, I've always tried to be positive with a "never say die" approach. I've also always backed Evatt to do the job. It's just that his seeming refusal to accept he can be (and often is) wrong, that makes me have just a shadow of "Does he actually know what he's doing?" about it. Any body can make mistakes; anybody can be wrong; but it's when you make mistakes and refuse to believe you're wrong that worries. Whilst we disagree on things on here, methods, team selection etc, the general consensus is that Mr Boss man should possibly do a bit of listening. Hope he does that...
Amen.
Amen.

The time has come. The main reason for my interest in this is not whether we want to win it (being a non-league fixture) or not, but how we are going to play as a team because it' s also a feature in the league. I'd really like to see less experiment and who gets what minutes, and some solid backbone as a regular football team team who can beat all-comers. The next three, Exeter, Barrow (Cup)and Huddersfield will be three different games and probably won't help much in defining answers except that winning is the common denominator. We need to shuffle the pack and get organised. Too much indecision right now. I'll be glad to see the back of this transfer window.

Tonight's reserve game vs Chesterfield has been postponed.
Maybe i'm reading too much into this but i'd presume we've decided to field a few more of the reserves tonight and ask for a postponement. U18s are playing now-ish, so its not like they would've been able to fill the reserve team players gaps either.

I’d say that if Dan isn’t in the squad tonight we can safely assume he’ll be plying his trade elsewhere when this window closes.

From scrutinising a low-res pic the BN posted, it would appear there are a few youngsters, but no Dan, in the squad tonight.

Arfield and Dempsey as wingers is a bold move.

Here's hoping to a good performance and win tonight in response to Saturdays result.

I never am able to post the team sheet but there are some notable absentees - Dan as predicted, Randell Williams and Iredale.

So Williams presumably injured again.
Iredale and Nlundulu the ones we’d like to shift.
Best guess based on that team.
Adeboyejo injured apparently.

4 of them on the bench.
I like it. I mean, it looks like no other bugger is fit; but I'd love to see some young lads get on the pitch.

Last few days of the window I tend not to believe any claims of new injuries. However, he did look like he really hurt his back against Charlton when a lad went through him. It's weird hoping a player is really hurt.

I don’t think I’ve ever even heard of Weston - who’s that?GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 6:54 pm4 of them on the bench.
