I have an old rib injury and it causes severe muscle spasms every so often. I'm used to it now, but the first time it happened I thought I was having a heart attack. Couldn't breathe or move. First time it happened in front of my wife she totally freaked out. No way I could have played football the same day.

On the Vic moving on thing, Evatt's quoted in the article as saying Vic's going nowhere. Obviously managers lie, but you'd think he'd go with the standard "Vic's a Bolton player and we want to keep him", rather than something that categorical.

That leaves Matheson, Arfield and Matete + "the surprise free agent" (this seems to be taking a little longer than anticipated)

Perhaps, they thought Luxembourg are that bad a team that it gives Northern Ireland a chance to field a rotated strikeforce and make use of the rest of the squad in the nations league.

He's scored some goals for us already this season and you can say that's all that matters, but he's generally been well off it. He's not offering enough runs, his touch is off, he's not pressing with anywhere near his usual intensity, etc.

Maybe he's still struggling with his knee. I don't know.

I've no idea, but the fact he was struggling before might mean it's unrelated to transfer stuff.

Sort of. He scored on Dec 29 at Fleetwood. He also scored in the home FA Cup game v Luton, but that was his only goal in the 10 games (all starts) in 2025 before his injury. After he came back he scored 3 in the last 7 games (2 subs then 5 starts) - but two were penalties.

Correct. Bit of a scuffer at Orient - edge of box, left foot, bounces like four times on its way past the keeper and into the corner (accurate then) - and a good finish at Shrews after they gave him too much space.
