Between the lines. Home to Reading, Sat 21st Sept/ 3'oclock.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

All this needs is a Santos goal.
He won’t get a better chance than the one he had off that first corner!
Still gifting them though. That was a terrible goal to concede.

Certainly need a couple of Santos moments that show him back to his best.

Not to sure that Reading goal is indicative of anything overly negative. Seemed somewhat of a freak hit and hope that's crept in rather than anything overly concerning. Maybe Santos could've been out quicker to it, but it's not that much of a threatening position as it was. Freak goal.

They've got into three or four other really good positions.

It's clearly been much better but they've been bad rather than us particularly good so far.

Had a couple of players down and four goals. Sounds about right.

Nervy times just before half time here. Can't let them get confidence going into the second half

Bindon pulls Vic down.

Hat-trick for Dion Charles.

Great stuff. No less than we deserve from this performance.

Ref's probably got in the back of his mind the other one he didn't give when Charles went down on the break earlier.

Was blatant for me.

Banks'esque.

The Reading player was absolutely gutted.

What difference playing with intent. Let's hope we don't revert to the Chuckle Brothers and keep the intent up.

If you take the first twenty five minutes of proper muck and nettles football. Get forward quickly get it into the box from all angles, win it back when it breaks down and did that across the majority of a season we’d go up.

It’s that simple. We aren’t a great side. We are a league one side and have to play a simple league one game. Ball forward, make them defend, win it back when it breaks down.

That’s the recipe at this level. Yes reading aren’t good but we’ve got the players to hurt sides when we reduce the game to how it must be played. When we try and mess about or think we are better than we are is when the problems start.

Thomason has been outstanding as captain.

Play like this every game - with proper intent and fight and put the ball into the box and I’d have no complaints. Hopefully it becomes a blueprint rather than us thinking we are better than we actually are.

Would be nice to see each one of those players out there have their stand out moment. Haven't quite seen it from Santos, Matete or JDC but i'm hopeful they'll get it.

Really good team performance as it stands.

I've not slagged JDC off in our house today so he must be doing something. His energy has matched everybody else.

Matete is extremely confident however he's been caught a couple of times when the pass has been on.

Just seen Reading's goal and I was extremely harsh on Santos. The lad is falling back, toe pokes it with the outside of his foot and it bananas in.
