If we can’t get a goal this half I’ll be concerned.

A real lack of attacking fluency from us.

Can't say Evatt hasn't set us up to go for it. There's errors all over the place though.
Santos, brilliant there.

Feels like the usual we’ve not scored straight away and are starting to run out of ideas performance.

Lovely looking link up play there. Never quite got a ball in front of a player for us to run onto, ball to feet layoff. Needed one to run onto.

Looked like we had 8 in that counter and .... free kick. Sheehan into the keepers hands.

Agreed on both. We're playing well. Need to go on and win.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 3:22 pmI think Matete is having a good game as well. But there’s definitely gaps!Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 3:20 pmWorrying signs that they’re starting to find the gaps in our midfield now

How have we not scored during that spell.

JDC nutmegged the lad, then hit the defender with the cross. Where have I heard that before.
Matete caught in possession... thankfully shot goes over the bar.

Very lucky not to concede there. We’re so open with this midfield. I think Matete has been excellent as well though he gave it away there. We’re so vulnerable to mistakes like that.

Good half. No goals though. Again. At home.

Final third.
If people are saying Peterborough are a top 6 and we need to beat them then we've more than matched them.
Santos has been excellent and looks to have some of that pace back.
Matete is working his bollocks off as Josh Sheehan wanders through midfield.
We're going to see Arfield in the second half and that is a scary thought.
We need a goal before the 60 minute mark.

A good first half performance. Should be in the lead for the amount of ball and pressure we’ve had.
Matete for me is best player on the pitch. Completely shutting Randall out. Which is needed.
I still think this system is bobbins as it leaves us exposed in midfield on a transition and McAtee and Collins look in effective in their roles to me.

They’re absolutely awful defensively, so it will be an utter travesty if we fail to score.

I make that in this season's 9 home games (all comps), we've scored 4 first-half goals. All of them were against Reading.
We have however scored 7 second-half goals, against 5 of the 8 opponents. That's what we need today - along with a clean sheet.

Santos has been good but not sure I agree he looks pacy…I’d say he’s carrying a knock but he’s been like that all season. Matete is looking forwards Sheehan is looking backwards, that’s the difference there.
McAtee and Victor have been quiet all things considered. Usual story we need better delivery and less fannying around. I think they will score so we need at least two second half.

The other difference is that Sheehan tends to hide off the ball.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 3:55 pmSantos has been good but not sure I agree he looks pacy…I’d say he’s carrying a knock but he’s been like that all season. Compared to some of our recent performances that was better. You can see why both teams have leaked goals...

Really? I see him showing for the ball continuously.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 3:56 pmThe other difference is that Sheehan tends to hide off the ball.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 3:55 pmSantos has been good but not sure I agree he looks pacy…I’d say he’s carrying a knock but he’s been like that all season. Hmmm, he does a lot of pointing where he thinks the ball should go.
