Just seen Toal has given a penalty away and been substituted injured in the first half tonight.
Looked like a knee injury.

By the way, Iles seems to have now confirmed the Liam Cooper rumour was true. Weird.

I wonder if they identified a need for a leader within the group after the season started. That being said we don’t usually let an injury record get in the way of a signing.

Concussion apparently which I think would rule him out of Saturday.

It's not crystal-clear but another BN piece seems to say Gethin and Forrester might? will? be available

Toal out until 2025. I'll be dusting my boots off at this rate.

I fancy a game too!

The BN's injury round-up:

Wanderers are also waiting for news on Kyle Dempsey, who has visited a consultant to find out if a knee problem can be solved with a relatively straightforward ‘clean out’ operation, or whether it requires anything more complicated.

Gethin Jones is close to returning after a knee injury suffered in pre-season, which has had some complications, and Jordi Osei-Tutu is also due back after the international break, having torn a calf muscle in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy against Barrow.

George Thomason and Nathan Baxter are also due back after the break after muscular injuries.

Ah man, that’s a shitter regarding Toal. I’m a big fan of Forrester, and don’t have concerns about him starting, but we’re another injury at CB away from a proper crisis.

Gutted for Toal. Was a weird scenario that concussion and it was just as innocuous for his current injury.

Hoping Jones will be back to fill in just in time. Pretty sure Jones was registered as a player unlike Matheson so no reason he couldn't get back in. Unless there's a bigger injury

Frustrating as Toal was looking back to his best.

Think we can call this a "crisis"
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

I think you're looking at this all wrong. It's not a crisis. This is an opportunity. An opportunity to test the squad depth and resilience our squad building has created. :D

All clubs go through the same thing every season, so lets not feel sorry for ourselves. That's why squads are allowed 25 players. The question is whether we are asking the players to do too much every day in training because they are not machines.
